I think the article gives hitler too much credit, he hardly invented racisim just used it as a convenient political tool.

If you want to study a little history anti-semetisim goes back to 350bce the Egyptians and the Greeks thought of it long before hitler. Nor is it a German problem there are "racial purity" groups all over the world that are neither nazi or fascists.

Is intolerence back/rising might be a better topic and the answer probably yes.
In world where the same 50 people that you lived beside never changed they came from where you lived they dressed the same belived the same and supported the same football club, life was simple.

Now people are more mobile the person beside you is defferent they are a Muslim or a Christian or a Jew or a different color when you have a bad day or a bad year blaming them is an alternative to kicking the cat.

Fascist mentalities are currently rampant in citizens and politics of parties from Russia to central Europe and still has plenty of supporters in Germany, not really a big issue in UK/Scandinavia. I dont see a problem with fascism myself as long as you have united countries, its when a more powerful country tries to dictate its fascism on others.I prefer communism myself but each to their own.
