German Foreign Minister Analena Burbock left clear points about Turkish revisionism, which she even connected with Ankara's desire to procure F16s from the USA, after her meeting with her Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias.
Previously, Mrs. Burbok had clearly emphasized that "the Aegean islands are Greek territory and no one has the right to question that.", a clear message to Ankara shortly before its meeting with its Turkish counterpart in Istanbul.
In the context of the Greek-Turkish debate, Mr. Dendias asked Mrs. Burbock that Germany should not hand over the submarines to Turkey, as it risks changing the balance of power. He also reminded that Turkey, despite being a member of NATO, threatens Greece with war, violates its sovereignty and sovereign rights, and illegally occupies the territory of an EU member state, Cyprus.
