German companies, Shahbaz discuss energy projects

LAHORE: Representatives of German Power companies led by German Ambassador Dr. Cyrill Nunn called on Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at Model Town today. Matters of mutual interest, bilateral relations and energy projects in Punjab were discussed during the meeting. Special Assistant Zaeem Hussain Qadri, Advisor Begum Zakia Shahnawaz, Chairman P&D, Secretary Energy and Coordinator of PML-N in Germany Shahid Riaz Gondal were also present on the occasion.
Talking on this occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said Pakistan is facing a big challenge of energy crisis. He said due to shortage of energy, the pace of country's economy is slow and industry, agriculture and other sectors have been affected badly by energy crisis. He said Germany has expertise in solar energy sector and its technology is unparalleled. Shahbaz Sharif said an agreement has been made for executing 400MW solar project in Cholistan with the cooperation of German company. He said that under this agreement, foreign investment of one billion dollars will be made. The Chief Minister said Punjab government has made various agreements with German companies for enhancing cooperation in energy sector. He said that economic cooperation between Pakistan and Germany should be further enhanced. He said that there is a need of rapidly working on energy projects for bringing the country out of darkness. Shahbaz Sharif said that Shahid Riaz Gondal is rendering excellent services for Pakistan in Germany and he is working in Germany as an unannounced ambassador and making strenuous efforts for strengthening relations between both the countries.
Ambassador of Germany Dr. Cyrill Nunn talking on the occasion said that Punjab is making rapid development under the dynamic and committed leadership of Shahbaz Sharif. He said that Shahbaz Sharif has taken a number of steps for the welfare of the people. Later, the Chief Minister hosted a dinner in honour of German Ambassador and members of the delegation. Representatives of German companies include, Eduard Wagner of Ires Solartec, Karsten Weltzien of E.G Power, Fritz Holzinger of Andritz Hydro, Helum Fugemann and Mark Gerrit Schuler of Energy Equal.

PML-N gonna win the elections so he is thinking of future and in such uncertain environment investment from Turkiye, Germany, China in Punjab is encouraging sign for the economy. If taliban khan niazi comes in power believe me his actions and repu will push us 20 years back and Pakistan will stand isolated in the world.

in democracy usually at the beginning such MoU are signed by the end of the term they are completed and when the government go to public for votes, they say we did this... here situation is different when 16 days are left, maskhara shoda sharif is going to election with mein yeh ker do ga mein woh ker donga, mujhay moka tou do....
