Gas pipeline blown up near Kandhkot

KANDHKOT: A gas pipeline near Kandhkot blown up with explosives causing disruption of gas supply to the Guddu thermal power station, police said.

Unknown saboteurs blew up the gas pipeline supplying gas from PPL Kandhkot to Guddu thermal power house near Sindh-Balochistan provincial border at RD-17, police further said. Gas supply to the power house was suspended after the blast.

Police has cordoned off the area and hunting for the culprits.

First these people claim that the government is not developing Baluchistan and them when the government is they sabotage it. We are a poor country we dont have unlimited resources and what resources we have must be used to get the maximum benefit out of them. Recently I was reading an article in people protesting that they dont have buses. They needed 10 and the government gave the 7. So in the protest they burned 3 buses now instead of asking for 3 more they now need 5 more. This is the mind set of our people.

My problem is that PA has so far been unable to safeguard the essential items such as gas pipelines. How can we be sure that IPI gas pipeline, a far more strategic project, wont suffer the same fate.??

It is even more exasperating when some of the hon members claim that PA has militants under control. If such is the view of intelligent and educated people, Allah have mercy our blinkered nation!
