French Senator Urges US to Stop Intervening in European Affairs

The United States must stop intervening in European affairs, Yves Pozzo di Borgo, French senator and member of the French delegation at the OSCE PA told Sputnik on Tuesday.

HELSINKI (Sputnik) — Pozzo di Borgo said that the Ukrainian crisis is an internal Eurasian matter; and the United States should not meddle in the conflict.

"I urge the United States to stop intervening and meddling with European internal affairs. For me, Europe includes big Eurasia with Russia in it. The crisis in Ukraine is the internal European matter and I cannot see it is any business of the United States," Pozzo di Borgo said.

The French senator called on the US and Canada to stop intervening in the Ukraine's conflict.

"I want Americans to stop destabilizing the situation and diminishing the role of the Minsk accords that have been reached within the Normandy format. The Americans along with Canada who works for the Unites States need to quit intervening," he added.
