CORRÈZE: French President François Hollande has said that his Government actively supported the development of leading Pakistani Pharmaceutical firm Martin Dow in Corrèze and that he would attend the inauguration of the Meymac plant along with senior Pakistani government officials.

He was talking to Martin Dow delegation consisting of Jawed Akhai (Chairman) and other members of the delegation.

The meeting, arranged by the Mayor of Tulle Bernard Combe, was held to explore partnership between Pharmaceutical sectors of the two countries on large scale. Martin Dow’s future plans for the site of former Bristol-Myers Squibb’s pharmaceutical plant, (which is located in the town of Meymac, Province of Corrèze) was discussed.

In addition, they also discussed the technical development of the site including pharmaceutical production and new investments planned to diversify production as well as expected economic benefits in the region that will derive from the development of the site, specifically in terms of job creation.

Why is a Pakistani pharma named "Martin Dow"? :/

What's the catch? Is it indigenous Pakistani pharmaceutical firm or a foreign firm with Pakistani presence?

Probably their way of trying to sound more legit. Many people sadly feel more comfortable buying medicine from a western name. These guys are based in Korangi however, so I am assuming they are Pakistani. A quick google search did not show any other parent company.
