France ready to help secure Cyprus EEZ if necessary : MoD

Turks want to be king of gimmedat.

Gimmedat Idlib
Gimmedat Northern Syria
Gimmedat Cyprus
Gimmedat Libya
Gimmedat Greek Islands
Gimmedat Mediterranean Sea

This is Neo-Ottomanism, the worst nightmares about Erdogan are true. Before when Erdogan was sidekick to gimmedat Washington, you could not tell Erdogan's motive in the Mediterranean. USA was gimmedat Syria, gimmedat Iraq, gimmedat Iran, gimmedat Middle East.

Italy should not support this imposter sultan. Regionalism and multipolar world, should NEVER include the turks. They ruin everything for everybody else. They only care about themselves. Erdogan is a narcissist.
Idlib matter is something else,
Northern Syria currently occupied by YPG terrorists, called as " freedom fighters" by West, it doesnt change the fact those guys are terrorists.
Cyprus? Check out how Turkey had to involve with Cyprus back in 70s
Libya? Turkey is supporting the legal, UN recognized government in Libya against Haftar, a coup leader.
Turkey doesn't want Mediterranean sea, Turkey wants to be on table while some countries are making de-facto deals regarding to Eastern Mediterranean

This full claim on the whole of Cyprus by turks shows they don't care about Democracy. Cyprus is majority Christian, why would they want to be ruled by turks.

These are the same turks as this:

And here comes the guy with zero knowledge of history.
start with history 101 and learn how and why Greeks has invaded western parts of the Turkey.
and then make some reads about why Turkey had to invade Cyprus at the first place.

. .
Sry...I missed your last part.EU is n

Sry,I missed the last part of your post and especially the last map.As I've said, I have no real clue about the 6/12 miles dispute and, being honest, it seems out of place to bottleneck Turkey like that just because Greece owns a massive island chain in the Aegean but the Cyprus dispute is another matter.
Both disputes are related and they should be resolved altogether with mutual respect, they have ignored Turkey, now Turkey ignores them and they start to complain about it.

you italian care a lot of Libyan and Syrians:(, get lost troll...:p:

We are ruining every imperialistic agenda of yours, no more puppets and free oil....

But they're not. I'll concede that regarding the Greece/ Turkey EEZ the last map you showed is completely rejectable from a Turkish point of view but, for me, the Cyprus affair is alot simpler. We are talking about a UN recognised state whose rights are being trampled here.
You can't talk about legal rights of northern Cyprus while complaining Nagorno Karabach is a illegal entity....if you know what I mean.

.
And yet Turkey tried to kill Assad the UN recognized president in Syria.
Assad who has shot Turkish fighter, fed terrorists on Northern Syria to conduct attacks into Turkish zones, shelled Turkish villages mistakenly while shelling villages nearby to Turkish border.
It is off topic, and it clearly shows double standards of you, doesn't it? And i don't personally agree on entire actions of Turkey in Syria. But lets think for a moment and who has flamed the instability in Syria at the first place, one clue for you : It wasn't Turkey.
So based on your understanding, a coup leader can be supported instead of reinstating democracy in a country if he is acting in favor of EU or West? I prefer to believe the civilized west wouldn't support a coup.

.
And yet Turkey tried to kill Assad the UN recognized president in Syria.

You are talking about criminal Dictator who killed hundreds of thousands of Syrian civilians and forced over 6 million Syrians to move from their lands to another Countries including Turkey

It does not take away the fact he is UN recognized president same as Hadi, Sarraj. He can personally stab to death millions of Syrians and he is UN recognized president. Legally speaking.

Turkey wasn't in favor of division but unification, if you check near-history you will find out southern side rejected normalization some-times even they were awarded with EU membership and constant support. If you read how Cyprus has ended up with current situation you would better understand Turkey's stand on that. Turkish rights on the island has been ruined once in 60s-70s and the world has sat down and watched it as Cypriot Turks' rights has vanished. I don't need to add videos of links in here, a basic search will give you proper results.
If Cyprus has unified in past years following the peace talks, in here i would be saying Turkey should definitely has respected EEZ of the Cyprus, for current situation i can not say this.
If we start to list how fair and consistent each country is, the list wouldn't end.

Interview of Turkish Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit, About Cyprus in 1974:

The key word is mutual respect and understanding, the issue will never be solved by dictated solutions of the neither of the sides with foreign involvement. It is a matter concerning regional people and the rest should keep themselves out of it. Oil or gas shouldn't be their reason to interfere.

Most Syrians support Assad. The 'Assad gasses his own people' was exposed as a lie.

trump has less support in the US than opposers. trump was selected in 2016 in losing the popular vote. trump kills Americans. Much worse, trump kills foreigners around the globe:

First of all the island should have had the option of Enosis if they wanted so,if we judge by democratic standards. I doubt we would have witnessed a genocide in the 70s if the island would have joined Greece. We can't talk about unification now, not when a quarter of the northern part of the population are recent settlers from Turkey and not Turkish Cypriots. Thus, the demographics of the island were artificially altered making reunification discussions redundant.

The first two sentences clearly shows you are sided by Greeks on the matter at all costs, i hope you are aware of the mindset of the governors who has insisted for enosis wasn't any good and the results wouldn't be any different. Your statement even accuses turkish people opposing the enosis and causing their own massacre? How funny it is. Greeks has started to supress Turkish rights on the island ,before than the enosis talks, encouraged by the coup generals in Greece.
Are you also accounting the amount massacred and fled local turkish people of the island into altering the demographics? There are quite many Turkish Cypriot in Turkey, as well as number of Greeks has been moved to Cyprus wouldnt be too low as well.
The island would have been unified several times if southern side wasn't aggressive and rejected it in 2000s. It still can be unified when the time comes.

Turkey is trying to get a share of the pie with no legal standing....
So you say that Greece can put a claim on E.Mediterranean from a 1000km away thanks to an island with a 2.5k population and a 10km coastline yet Turkey with a 1500km coastline and a 21m population doesn't have any rights on the EEZ? Tell me, which one makes sense? This one:

Or this one?

And don't forget that Greece stole 39.000km from Libyan EEZ when Gaddafi was removed

While Cyprus stole 15.000km2 from Egypt, 4.600km2 from Israel and 3957km2 from Lebanon

It's known that Israel, Egypt and Lebanon are very unhappy on the EEZ deal with Cyprus and there were news that they wanted to update the deal. Those countries can't make a deal with Turkey since most of them has bad relations with Turkey. And also don't forget the fact that there were many rumors that Israel and Turkey are negotiating about an EEZ deal thanks to the recent relations. Egypt's dictator came to power by removing Egypt's first president which came to power from an election. After that we cut all the diplomatic relations with Egypt while Sisi sticked to the presidency thanks to foreign support from France, Russia, US (and KSA and UAE). And he pays his debt with buying weapons from them with the financial help from KSA and UAE. It's known that Egypt couldn't be able to buy weapons with such a bad economy so foreign powers are arming them against Turkey.
According to the retired admiral Cem Gürdeniz, we were about to cut a deal with Egypt before Sisi came to power.
Lebanon sided with the KSA and UAE on the Qatar conflict so we don't have good relations with them either.
If that damn fool called Erdogan accepted to sit on the same table with Sisi, they would have signed an EEZ deal with Turkey as well.
If you were reading news for the recent past couple of months, Turkey and Israel has been trying to improve relations to ccut a deal on EEZ and the recent news on the E.Mediterranean topic confirms this.
Tell me one thing, why does it is up to France to ''protect'' Cyprus? Everyone knows that the French population is not happy with the way their economy is going so France has to find sources elsewhere to get a economic boom.
So, instead of polluting discussions with Anti-Turkish bullshit I advise you to stay in your own playground.

I am aware that Greece was under a military junta and Cyprus had a coup d'etat which brought a right wing faction in power.I am also aware that the island was rife with ethnic violence...on both sides.Still, I don't think that reunification with Greece would have brought a Turkish genocide, not in the 70s.
Obviously, I do agree that Turkey couldn't take that chance, and so....here we are, an island divided, and it will remain so for the foreseeable future.
