A business delegation from France led by France envoy to India Mr. Francois Richier held a one-to-one meet with Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today. The meet saw fruitful discussions on developing partnership with Gujarat.
Mr. Francois Richier, who has come on Gujarat visit accompanied by office bearers of 14 companies of France, held 2-hour meet with Gujarat government officials and discussed elaborately on French companies partnership with Gujarat in the fields such as urban infrastructural facilities, solid waste and water management, urban transport, defense equipment and solar energy. Many of these companies discussed with the state officials and showed commitment for setting up projects in Gujarat.
France envoy also expressed keenness in knowledge sharing and extending cooperation in the development of the progressive state like Gujarat.
The Chief Minister wished for the cooperation from France in developing defense equipment manufacturing sector in Gujarat and for providing engineering knowledge for creating trained manpower for the field of defense equipments. Mr. Modi also acquainted the French envoy with Gujarats initiatives such as solid waste management and developing waste water recycling technology under clean city project, metro rail project, and other urban development projects. He also discussed about the states efforts for elevating the life standard of the common people.
Additional Chief Secretary Maheshwar Sahu, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister A. K. Sharma, Secretary to Chief Minister Vijay Nehara and Gujarats Principal Resident Commissioner at Delhi Mr. Bharatlal were present during the meet with French delegation.
