Four suspected terrorists killed in Quetta encounter: CTD

At least four terror suspects were killed in an operation in Quetta’s Marwar, a spokesperson for the Counter-Terrorism Department said Thursday.

According to the spokesperson, the CTD carried out an operation in Marwar after it received information of presence of suspected terrorists in the area.

In an exchange of fire, four terrorists were killed, while six others managed to escape, said the spokesperson.

The CTD found weapons and explosives during the search operation. The terrorists were involved in several attacks on the security forces.

Rafi I believe we need to raise at least 1 more corp I know it's expensive but it's worth with size of province more troops mean more less operating area available for militants and more quick response

Army and FC Baluchistan and KPK all of these forces needs to be raised. But more importantly Baluchistan Police and Baluchistan Levies needs to be improved increased in size plus their intelligence network needs to be made much stronger.

Despite what happened in Sahiwal, CTD has been transformed into a good police intelligence unit. I have see their work first hand in Lahore. The only thing remains is their structure (Ordained by state) that hampers their true potential..
