Former Afghan minister now delivering pizza in Germany

(Web Desk) – Former communications and technology minister in Afghanistan Syed Ahmad Shah Sadat is working as a pizza delivery person in Germany.

According to media reports, Just a year back, Syed Ahmed Shah Sadat held an esteemed position in Afghanistan, as the Communications and IT Minister. However, due to differences with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, he left his country in 2020 and settled in Germany.

Photos of the former minister were posted on Twitter, where he was seen carrying the pizza delivery box on his back while riding his bicycle.

Confirming that the photos, Sadat said his story will serve as a catalyst to change the way high-ranking people live their lives in Asia and the Arab world. Once surrounded by security personnel, Sadat is now delivering pizza on a bicycle.

Sadat started working as a food delivery professional for German company Livrando after his money ran out.

He holds two master’s degrees in communications and electronic engineering from Oxford University. He worked for 23 years in the field of communications with more than 20 companies, in 13 countries, including Saudi Arabia, for Aramco and the Saudi Telecom Company.

why is he selling a pizza if he has worked for 23 years in multinational companies and holds two masters degrees from Oxford university.

he doesn’t have to work as pizza delivery, he should come to London so that we can find him a better job, may be roof cleaner or something else

that is weird. I know someone who received their LLB not from Oxford but lowly Manchester and gets £53k per annum which is 1000 per 30 hour week. and the job involves just talking

In UK we have abundance of job opportunities for graduates so finding a job in UK is not very difficult. May be he had immigration issues or just working temporarily for quick money. I am sure he could find a job easily in his relevant field with salary starting from 100k but he is probably not interested for long term commitments

its obvious he didnt run off with bribe money like most others. and seems to be working an honest job to re-start his life and feed his family. nothing wrong or shameful about this.

He knows it was game over, as the Afghan Taliban stormed the Presidential Palace in Kabul.
