Media reports on Abbottabad Commission misleading

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) Talking to Dunya News, Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal said that news circulating in foreign media regarding Abbottabad Commission report are baseless and misleading.
He said that the report not only identified those who were responsible for the incident but also reviewed the role of different institutions.
Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal said that main purpose of the commission was to review performance of countrys institutions and statements of all witnesses were recorded during investigation.
He informed that the commission report contains more than 100 recommendations but the foreign media failed to highlight even one of those.
Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal further said that the Abbottabad Commission had handed over its report to Prime Minister of Pakistan on January 2, 2013. He said it is government responsibility to punish those responsible for the incident.
