For all it's reputation, what has ISI done for Pakistan?

Prevented secession of East Pakistan? No.

Took control of Srinagar side of Kashmir? No.

Prevented the harmful project of CPEC? No.

Won the Soviet-Afghan war? But that was for US.

For all it's reputation, what has ISI done for Pakistan?

P.S.: I didn't state above the reason for ISI's failure. Stating it would be parroting the same old lines. The reason is, "Size does matter." Geographical size, population size etc. India is much bigger. So the ISI's failures are honourable after all.

Pakistan was not predicted to survive past 6 months in 1947 but here we are 70 years on.

There is good and bad in Pakistan buts its survival is in its ability to defend itself a weaker Pakistan would have been swallowed up

We are here today and we have been in a conflict with a nation 7 times more populace them is snd 3 and a half times larger in land mass and fought back because of the efforts of ISI and military

When our enemy's back is burning then ISI is definitely doing good job but performance is still not what's expected. I will only call it one of top intelligence agency when it takes fight out of Pakistan soil into enemy's territory.

You mentioned few things which ISI failed to do. of course there are failures of every intelligence agency.. Though ISI is bit over rated .. But still it is good enough agency that a third world country can produce. ISI has some failures but has many success stories too.

ISI is just over glorified homeland security they have no power outside Pakistan heck they cant even control domestic media its not as much lethal as it used to be

Listen up Uncle Tom, East Pakistan and Kashmir were up to the navy, air force and ground troops, and in Kashmir we managed to snatch 1/3 of it off your masters hands. So your points about those 2 are null and void murtad.

The 3rd point is also laughable, since CPEC will not be harmful for Pakistan and instead have many benefits. Only in the minds of you and your Hindustani masters is CPEC a bad thing for Pakistan.

The Soviet Afghan war was for us. We did not want the Soviet Union (a major Hindustani ally) right next door, who would have only tried to harm Pakistan. Not to mention there's the fact that we were helping our fellow Muslims, where as you act as a lap dog for those who rape and kill Muslims in Kashmir.

Anyway, other than the Soviet Afghan war (where they not only defeated but also helped dismantle the Soviets), the ISI has also armed Muslims in Bosnia so they could defend themselves from the Serbs, uncovered a secret deal in which Hindustan was to allow the Soviet Union access to it's naval facilities, supports the insurgency in Kashmir and (according to your masters) throughout the rest of Hindustan, engages in counter-insurgency ops in Pakistan, prevented a surveillance mission on Pakistan's nuclear facilities, and has apprehended numerous spies/operatives.

I can name so much more they have done, but the fact is they are a very good intelligence agency, and have rightfully earned their place as one of the top in the world.
