Five soldiers killed in roadside bomb explosion in Pattani.

Five soldiers were killed and 10 other injured when an Army truck they boarded was hit by a powerful roadside bomb while they were on the way to the army barrack in Pattani province late this afternoon.
Police inspecting the scene of the bomb explosion that created a five meter long and one meter deep crater on the road on Klapor-Kapo road in Kapo district of Pattan said the 30-kg home-made bomb was so powerful that it catapulted the army truck by more than 20 meters from the explosion scene.
Five soldiers died instantly from the bomb explosion detonated by a mobile phone call, and 10 others on the truck were injured. 15 soldiers were on the truck heading to Ingkayuth Boriharn army camp in process of changing guard.
Police said that the attack was the work of a RKK element identified as Yaklee Kali who is a local head of the RKK insurgent group that had previously committed similar daring attacks on army personnel.
