First K9 howitzers delivered to Indian army, to be deployed on Pakistan front (Westfeldzug)

The first batch of K9 Vajra-T SPH were delivered to newly raised 244 artillery regiment. All remaining 12 guns of regiment will be delivered by mid-November.
Personnel of the regiment carried out practice firing in front of L&T engineers.

The regiment will be a part of 24th Infantry division (RAPID), based in Bikaner near Pakistan border.

Total of 5 K9 regiments will be raised plus one training & reserve unit.

Indian has options to purchase K9 for three more regiments.

Awesome, K9s in Indian Army service just over a year after L&T and South Korean HTW signed a pact for K9s.
If Indian defence needs can be expedited in such a fashion by the Indian private sector then for the long term at the least, defence PSUs really have no place in the defence of the nation.
