First female Indian troops 'are prostitutes'

This india daily article goes to show what daily mail published is consistent and rflection of reality in indian army. Offcourse indians will be in denial and with typical spin.

We were discussing an article where Indian female soldiers were called as ***********. I guess I have successfully countered the low quality article related to female soldiers.

Then somesone came up with an article from 2006 to back the theory. The logic is, both are consistent. How?? How can a propoganda be with consistent with an IA intiative. The 2006 article says that HIV count was reduced from 300 to 37 in three years. Going by the same ratio, it should be almost 0 by now. So no action should be necessary. :)

Being an IT professional, I understand the importance of bandwidth. So no more replies to offtopic and propoganda posts which was posted due to sheer frustation. (you may call it I am running away if you wish).
I will respond when something good come up. Thanks.

Indian army battles HIV in the northeast of the country

Army battles HIV in the Northeast

Guwahati, Assam, India: Soldiers serving in the troubled Northeastern states not only face the threat of the bullets of terrorists but are also vulnerable to the HIV virus.

To counter the threat of HIV, the Indian army is now planning to make the HIV tests mandatory for all personnel serving in the Northeast.

Vice Admiral and Director General of the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), VK Singh, said, "If I don't do this recruitment screening test then HIV positive people may come into our forces. That's why we want to insulate our forces from the induction of HIV positive people."

"We have brought down the percentage of HIV positive people to 0.28 per cent but our aim is to bring it to zero per cent," Singh says.

Tests of courage in conflict zones is something that most men in uniform always look forward to but the test for screeing the HIV positive soldiers is likely to catch most of them off guard.

The proposal to screen the personnel has already been cleared by the Chief of Staffs Committee and is based on reports that the Northeastern states are vulnerable to HIV.

It also appears that the army is keen to learn from the experience of Assam Rifles, which has 133 confirmed HIV cases in its ranks.

The Director General of Assam rifles, Lt General Bhopinder Singh, says that this is because his force id stationed permanently in the Northeast

"When you compare the jawan of Assam Rifles with a jawan of the Army, BSF or CRPF you must remember that our jawans saty here where the battalion of other forces go back to some other place after some time. That is he is in high risk category as he is going to serve througout his career in the Northeast," Bhopinder Singh says.

"HIV is more wide spread in the Northeast than other parts of the country which is a well know fact," he adds.

In an unprecedented move, the Assam Rifles has also made it mandatory for its personnel to carry condoms while on duty but ironically the problem lies in the nature of the job that the jawans undertake.

The Executive Director of UNAIDS Dr Peter Piot says, "HIV does not need a visa or passport and particularly in the Northeast as it is surrounded by a country like Myanmar which is very heavily affected by AIDS, much more than any nplace in India. It is also a major source of heroin for the drug trade."

The army's proposal for mandatory HIV tests for service personnel in the northeast in itself is a silent admission of the fact that cross border infiltration and drug trafficking contnues and the soldeirs are equally vulnerable to the problem like anyone else.

Both the articles are to be read and dismissed, Indian can deploy whoever they wish for...not saying that the claim is true though...

Honestly it is the first time i am hearing of the article by Pakistan daily mail as well, certainly no body is talking about it in Pakistani circles so certainly it seems unlikely that it has been planted by ISI, otherwise if the intent was mass ridicule of India then ISI could have done better both with the angle of attack (ridiculous) and with the media barrage (negligible)...i rather think this is just one journalist's bid to make a spicy news and another one is now reciprocating by adding ISI to the midst...

Secret Service, Seductive Ladies and international conspiracy...James Bond anyone?

Regarding the complaint to high commissioner, many things are highlighted to the poor high commissioner who will make a note of it and pass it on...that's all they can do in this case...

Hindu Army Generals Supply Indian Prostitutes

Indian Army to Deploy Prostitutes as Women Battalion in Held Kashmir

By CHRISTINA PALMER

NEW DELHI, India, 11 September 2009 (DailyMailNews.com) - The Indian Army is deploying around 200 [Indian] prostitutes under the cover of Border Security Force's constables in the Indian Occupied Kashmir along with the Line of Control, The Daily Mail has learnt through authoritative sources.

According to the sources, the decision of recruiting [Indian] prostitutes for deployment in the held [Kashmir] valley was taken some six months back and Indian Army Chief General [Deepak] Kapoor finally approved it. The Daily Mail has learnt that this decision was taken as a result of discussions and consultations regarding the alarmingly increasing incidents of suicides and killing colleagues by soldiers of Indian Army that are deployed in the Indian Occupied Kashmir to fight insurgency.

The Daily Mail's investigations indicate that the factor of suicides and random shoot outs on colleagues by Indian soldiers in the held [Kashmir] valley has become a big dilemma for the Indian Army top brass. When this exercise gained momentum earlier this year, the Army leadership approached different consultants and analysts. The consultants and analysts reached the conclusion that Indian soldiers deployed in the valley were committing suicides and killing colleagues out of acute frustration and depression. Medical and psychological
consultants and analysts are of the view that since majority of the soldiers deployed in the valley are married and are away from their wives for very long time, they are gripped by sexual frustrations which ultimately transforms into mental frustrations. These consultants suggested that the soldiers posted in the [Kashmir] valley should be sent [back to India] on leaves to be with their wives once a month.

This became another dilemma for the Indian Army's top brass as it is not possible at all to send such huge number of [Indian] soldiers on leaves with regular intervals. The Daily Mail's investigations further reveal that upon this a Major-General was sent to Moscow to get some solution to the problems as Russians had some sort of similar problems around 2 decades back. This [Indian] General, identified as General Kumar, returned with a very strange solution. The Russian consultants told the Indian Army that since the soldiers in the valley are women- starved, they should be provided with women to meet their genuine and natural [sexual] needs.

The Daily Mail's investigations indicate that at this stage, the Indian Army Chief constituted a committee under the command of Lt. General Raj Kumar Karwal, who is currently posted as Director-General of a training facility of the Indian Army, while Major-General Sanjeev Loomba, Brigadier Anil Sharma, Colonel N.K. Khunduri and Colonel Sanjay Rai were members of the committee. The committee finally came up with the solution that since it is not possible to provide street whores directly to the [Indian] soldiers, thus professional prostitutes should be recruited with the title of sex-workers and then they should be given basic military training and should be posted in Kashmir sector as soldiers so that male soldiers can establish [sexual] relations with them.

It was also decided that the recruitment should not be made publicly, but [Indian] RAW's help should be sought as RAW has a huge network of prostitutes in different cities of India. The Daily Mail's investigations reveal that RAW completed the assignment successfully and provided a batch of some 300, semi-educated prostitutes to the General Raj Kumar committee after proper medical checkup of every individual.

The committee then approached the [Indian] Army Chief and it was decided that these new recruits should not be made part of mainstream Army, but should be adjusted in [Indian] Border Security Force (BSF) and from there, their [sexual intercourse or prostitution] services would be made available for [Indian] Northern Command.

The [Indian Army sex] project was completed by the end of August when the new recruited batch of 300 [Indian hookers] completed a basic military training and Army Chief was informed that recruits are ready for deployment in the [Kashmir] valley.

When contacted by this correspondent, [Indian] Inspector General of BSF Himmat Singh confirmed that a batch of 178 [Indian] female soldiers is being sent to Northern Command where they would be deployed along with Indo-Pak border to check the border violations by women, working in the field. Mr. Singh further stated that these [Indian] women [prostitutes] were not fully trained for operational military duties; however, in the next phase, after further training, they would be given the duties of operational border security. Mr. Singh refused to admit that these [Indian] female soldiers are actually prostitutes and are being dispatched to the [Kashmir] valley as undercover sex-workers.

When contacted, Rohit Sharma, a senior defense analyst here in New Delhi, said that the [prostitution] move is a wonderful step by the Indian Army leadership as it would boost medical and mental health of the [Indian] soldiers, posted in the [Kashmir] valley and they would come up with better results.

That article only appeared in The Dailymail ,pakistan written by some non existent column with pseudo Synonym Christina Palmer and nowhere else in the entire media world.

In some of my last posts I mentioned: A soldier is a soldier, Dosen't matter a lady or a gent. First of all we have to show respect to them because they are doing an hounrable job to serve their country. Secondly Suppose If they are Prostitutes then this is their own Decision. They are mature enough to know right or wrong. I think we have no right to insult any one.
They are daughters and sisters of someone. If someone is doing this sort of activity then she is not doing it alone. I mean she cant do anything without a male. All such things are done with mutual understanding. Then why we are coursing the ladies only.........ladies are the soldiers and male are also the soldiers. Both have same duties. If this news is true then both are involved in it, How we can only blame to ladies?

New Delhi's home minister P Chidambaram has ordered his officials to launch an official complaint with Pakistan's High Commission after a Pakistani newspaper reported an investigation alleging that 178 female members of its Border Security Force had been deployed to "meet the natural needs" of its male soldiers on the Line of Control between the two armies in disputed Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the report in the Pakistan Daily Mail earlier this month, New Delhi had "deployed 200 prostitutes" according to its "authoritative sources". It claimed the decision had been taken by senior Army officers who feared a number of troop suicides and incidents where soldiers had killed their own comrades was linked to loneliness and the absence of female company.

Army gets notice for sacking HIV positive personnel

Indo-Asian News Service, Sunday June 29, 2008, New Delhi

The Supreme Court on Friday issued a notice to the Indian Army on a petition that challenges the sacking of personnel who are HIV positive, without the mandatory approval of the army's medical board.

A bench of Justice Aftab Alam and Justice GS Singhvi issued notices to the central government and the defence ministry on a plea by a HIV positive havildar of the Indian Army's Ordinance Corps, posted at the army's Ordinance Depot in New Delhi.

The havildar moved the apex court, challenging his impending ouster from the army on June 30.

The bench, however, declining to stall his slated ouster, decided to hear his plea along with a similar plea by another army personnel August 6.

Appearing for the havildar, advocate Aagney Sail of the Human Rights Law Network contended before the bench that the army's policy decision taken in April 2007 to oust its HIV positive personnel was a ",retrograde", one.

Sail contended that his client was being sacked ",on the erroneous assumption that HIV positive persons are inherently incapable of serving in the army",.

Sail pointed out that not only do armies of various western countries, including those of the US and Canada, allow HIV positive personnel to serve, but also lets them go to the battlefront.

He submitted to the bench a copy of a March 2008 ruling of the South African High Court, which had struck down a government decision against letting HIV positive personnel serve in its army.

",It is the prejudice against the positive status that is the foundation of the notion that HIV positive persons are inherently unable to serve in the army,", Sail contended.

Army gets notice for sacking HIV positive personnel

This is 2008 article, not an old story.
Induction of female troops rise AIDS cases more.

One Question: ...Can AIDS patient fight in war?

V K Singh said further that there should be a very liberal thinking and action in the distribution of condoms, and creating awareness and education. Condoms should be kept in a place from where Jawans can easily take one.

Jawans taking condoms instead of rifles.
Anyways dont blame us next time security lapse occurs just because jawans were busy picking up condoms and waiting for their turns.
