First ever UAE Military contingent to arrive in Islamabad on Pakistan Day Parade

DUBAI – A military contingent of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will participate in the Pakistan Day parade to be held in Islamabad on March 23 (Friday).

“This will be the first time that a contingent from the UAE military will parade along with Pakistan armed forces at the official ceremony in Islamabad to mark the 78th National Day of Pakistan,” Ambassador of Pakistan Moazzam Ahmed Khan told Gulf News on Monday.

He said that participation of the UAE military contingent in the National Day celebrations is a great gesture and honour for Pakistan.

A spokesperson of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) also confirmed that UAE military contingent would parade along with their band at the official ceremony in the capital.

Pakistan Day is celebrated to mark the Lahore Resolution on March 23 each year. The Lahore Resolution, which is also called Pakistan Resolution, passed on March 23, 1940, is considered a major milestone in the Muslim struggle for an independent Muslim state which was later called Pakistan.

Elaborate arrangements have also been made by the Pakistan embassy and the community organisations in the UAE to celebrate their country’s National Day. An official diplomatic reception by the embassy will be held in Abu Dhabi on March 21 and a similar event will be held by the Pakistan Consulate General in Dubai on March 26. Flag hoisting ceremonies will be held at the missions at 8.30am on March 23.

Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah and Pakistan Centre in Ras Al Khaimah have also arranged similar community events on March 23.

Last year, smart contingents of Chinese and Turkish armies participated in the Pakistan Day parade.

So something has changed ... that's how international politics works...you have to play along..
yes, might be that Pakistan sent the forces for KSA and the behaviour changed. So Pakistan has conceded to the gulf countries and why we refused then ????? It could be to put the civilian govt at the wrong end by pressure of saying no and later Army directly negotiated the despatch of forces. Otherwise no fun to concede.

Also Gwader just dispatched the first consignment through ships to Dubai .... trade and business change a lot of things. No permanent enemies in this world. I don't think we conceded anything.

.
UAE never supported Pakistan and threatened Pakistan for not joining the war against Yemen. How it can be called a friendly country?

UAE Is The Second Biggest Foreign Investor in Pakistan. That Yemen Thing Was **** Up By Us And A Junior Minister Reacted In Anger Nothing More

no but the change of stance so quickly tells everything. It resulted due to the internal rift of military/civilian , but all is well in the end and the message delivered successfully that Gulf needs to talk to real people who are at the helm of affairs. Parliament is just an eyewash which could be bypassed.

We have to think about Pakistan interest first and not about some corrupt politician. This parliament has no value...most of them are corrupt (PMLn + PPP)

Bajwa doing good work at least on the foreign policy front.

I will be happy if we send 5000 more troops to Saudi Arabia, have joint exercises with U.A.E, trade with Qatar and invite Iran's air force chief next year for the parade.

Pakistan willing to work with anyone who is willing to work with us.
