Finland planning to buy K9 Thunder

. . . . . . . . .
Any ideas what is the current contingent of the Finnish forces in Afghanistan? I remember they were jointly responsible with the Swedes for one of the PRTs in the north of Afghanistan.

When I was there in 2005/6

The Fins have a small contingent working RC North and was put in PRT Mazar-i-Sharif along with US and Swedish troop. If I remember correctly their strength is no more than Battalion level, so it will put them at about less than 450 troop.

Mostly administrative role, also have a company doing combat patrol, I have some run in with the Fins and Swedes while I was there.

The current deposition is a platoon strength (<40)as per NATO Resolute Support site stated, I think their job is of training, medical and administrative role and I have no idea where they are now.

lol.......no, I was with the American.

The Aussie were at Uruzgan (Did I spell that right?) and I think they are under RC South at that point.
