Oh,I thought burmese army were engaged with BA.

This is a major development

Failure of Burma's divide and rule strategy and pan-Buddhism.

For quite a while in the past the ethnically Mongoloid and Buddhist Rakhines of Arakan (related to the majority Bamar race that rule Burma) and the Indic Muslim Rohingyas were united in calling for an independent state of Arakan, a state free from Burma where both the Buddhist Rakhines and Muslim Rohingyas would live.

The Naypyidaw junta torpedoed this by promoting hatred between the Rakhines and Rohingyas and stressing the commonality between the Mongoloid Buddhist Bamars and Rakhines. This strategy was working very well to the point that earlier this year there were anti-Rohingya pogroms carried out by Rakhines faciliated by the Burmese military and security forces.

However now Buddhist Rakhine guerillas are attacking Buddhist Burmese (Bamar) junta forces, so the Naypyidaw junta's efforts have all come to nothing.

Pan-Buddhism has failed.

In fact we have talk of Buddhist Sinhalese (who regularly kill Hindu Indian fishermen - not that these fishermen matter to New Delhi or the powerful BIMARU i.e. Hindi belt states, as they are "just" Tamils) helping Buddhist Bamars to fight and kill Buddhist Rakhine guerillas.

Buddhists A helping Buddhists B to kill Buddhists C who are killing Buddhists B.

. .
1. Bangladeshi intelligence may covertly be in collusion with the Buddhist Rakhine nationalist guerillas to fight and kill the Burmese army.

2. The Burmese army are weak and unable to defeat Christian Kachin guerillas in the north even after 1 year of fighting, Kachins claim over 1,000 Burmese soldiers killed.

Large parts of Burma are controlled by ethnic rebels who run their own school systems, TV stations and de facto governments in such regions.

3. Thailand is militarily far stronger than Burma and has complete control over all of its territory unlike Burma (which according to some figures has 13% of population with electricity, a figure lower than Afghanistan) and Thailand has been supporting ethnic rebels in Burma who run their own parallel governments.

4. The Kachins resumed their war against the Burmese junta last year and have been successfully defeating this military, clearly showing how weak they are.

The Rakhines in the west now seem to be joining in.

If the Burmese cannot tackle the Kachins and Rakhines then it may only be a matter of time that the other ethnic groups frustrated by the Burmese junta form a coalition army bigger than that of the Burmese army and launch a ground offensive to capture Naypyidaw as anti-Qaddafi rebels captured Tripoli.

5. Notice that there seems to be no existence of any Rohingya para-military organizations to defend their people against the brutal Bamar army, however these can easily be formed, and though the Bangladeshi military can easily defeat the weak and disorganized Bamar army (which uses boy soldiers and slave soldiers) they can also rely on the support of Turkey and Saudi Arabia in the event of any Burmese aggression.

A few months ago there was even talk of OIC military operations against Burma and apparently even discussion in the Turkish media how Turkey could militarily take action against Burma.

6. The bigger picture is this: US v Chinese rivalry

The US has successfully blocked Chinese penetration of the Persian Gulf via the port of Gwadar in Pakistan's Balochistan province by supporting Balochi rebels. Gwadar is still not fully functional and there is always the prospect of an independent and pro-US Balochistan emerging which blocks Chinese access to the Persian gulf.

The Americans may be seeking to replicate the same move by blocking Chinese access to the Bay of Bengal via Sittwe (the capital of Arakan).

One way of doing this is by creating a break away state of Arakan which becomes pro-US just like Kuwait (which adores the US due to its role in the 1991 Gulf war or Kosova which too loves the US do to their support in 1999) and then becomes the next Singapore in south-east Asia.

This independent Arakan state would become another Singapore with a US military base (Bangladesh will never allow one on its soil and the US has sought a military base in East Pakistan/Bangladesh for decades, even apparently promising Mujib support for independence if he gave them a base in St Martin's island in Bangladesh) there and the new Arakan state with its population of 4 million would rapidly become a wealthy resource rich Brunei/Qatar style state with the oil and gas resource on its part of the bay of the Bengal.

China would be checkmated and blocked from Sittwe (Bay of Bengal).

The Burmese junta are in trouble.

.
7 Burma army soldiers die in two separate clashes with KIA

7 Burmese soldiers die against Kachin rebels in the north.

The junta are moving troops to Kachin areas and there is talk of a possible major offensive against the Kachins.

The Bamar junta may soon be enaged in a 2-front war, one in the north against Christian Kachins and one in the west against Buddhist Rakhines, and in the future also in the west against Muslim rebels who may be joined by international volunteers.

Oh... that's what you know.... anyway keep dreaming cuz the world has moved on. :P

World has moved on to where ? SL was strongly reprimanded by US and EU and even a UN resolution was put forward. Even now they have not fulfilled their vows of giving power to Tamilians and are openly flouting the basic fundamental rights of Tamils. They think that by courting China and Pak, they can gain some leverage vis-a-vis India. But are living in delusion. If the basic issue with the Tamils is not resolved by transfer of power and parity as envisaged in every democratic setup, it wont be long before LTTE or some other splinter group emerges. Mind you LTTE has huge support among Tamil Diaspora in the West and they would be eager to take advantage of any such situation arising out of stupidity on part of SL.

Oh... that's what you know.... anyway keep dreaming cuz the world has moved on. :P

Does that mean, "You don't know everything, but I can't tell you what it is you don't know, because it's secret." Or is it more,"I bet you don't know everything, and I bet you don't know what you don't know"?

LOL how brave. A battallion of BDR crossed the border and took them hostage. If this is a sign of bravery , then perhaps I should post pics of hundreds of dead Bangladeshi pole vaulters who were shot dead by BSF.

these are just propaganda by the Buddhist Terrorists .....they want to justify the killing of muslims in there.
This is not an authentic source.

1.In fact it was the super commando ITBP dressed as BSF which had launched a surprise night attack on Padua village with one Bn. The troops were drunk having consumed good amount of govt issued rum.

2. Unlike BSF, these were new to the area, and being overconfident launched the attack without proper reccee.

3. The attacking force lost its way and instead of attacking the BDR BOP, bumped into the sleepy village where people are totally unarmed and could never imagine of being attacked in peace time.

4. Seeing Indian troops in their village, the mard e mujahid villagers quickly realized what was happening. In the built up area these intruders were chased almost individually and lynched. By that time BDR also realized what was happening in the neighboring village, and opened up their LMGs laid on Night Lay. This hit only the retreating ITBP clowns.

5. When BDR entered the village, they witnessed a spectacle seen only in movies. Many ITBP soldiers rushed to BDR personnel to rescue them from the furious villagers. The villagers, conservative Muslims all, were particularly enraged when they discovered drunk Indian soldiers in their village.

6. Some day we shall award a Sword of Honor to the village of Padua for wiping out an entire ITBP bn with bare hands, domestic tools, kitchen utensils, hoe, etc.

7. Yes, Peelkhana massacre was organized by RAW, ITBP and BSF with the assistance of Kalidas Baidyo of Bangobhumi as a revenge. We Muslims have experienced such treachery and sly behavior from the Hindus from the day Shivaji had killed Gen Afzal Khan. We like to fight like soldiers, but the Hindus resort to the tricks of The Arthasastra and behave like rats.

8. The 4th Battle of Panipath is rather overdue.
