FESCO reduces loadshedding

FAISALABAD: Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has decided to reduce loadshedding from 8 to 6 hours daily after getting 50 megawatt from the main grid station.

A FESCO spokesman said on Saturday that the company had been allotted 50 megawatt additional electricity due to which the supply improved and domestic as well as industrial feeders would observe only 6 hours loadshedding instead of 8 hours daily from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

FESCO Distributes and supplies electricity to about 3.21 million customers within its territory with a population over 27.5 million.

The supply has definitely improved because the government has initiated gas and electricity theft prevention program. Not only that, IPPs are generating electricity because they are getting paid on time without any hassle.
