Femen protestors attack nativity scene on Brussels Grand Place

Activists belonging to the women’s movement Femen have attacked the nativity scene in the centre of the Grand Place in Brussels.

Two women climbed over the barriers on Tuesday lunchtime and pretended to beat Mary and Joseph with clubs.

They unveiled a sign reading “Nique les pauvres” (**** the poor) in an apparent protest about Belgium’s austerity measures.

The pair also picked up the figurines of the Biblical couple and their newborn baby and moved them a few metres before the campaigners were apprehended.

They were spending Tuesday night in police custody. No damage was caused and the crib scene, complete with live animals, remains open as normal.

Erghh,no Einstein.My logic is that they attack beliefs of which they know that there won't be any consequences for their actions.They clearly know that they'll pay a fine and desecrate another church tommorow.
