A female police officer, Model Town SP (Investigation) Dr Anoosh Masood Chaudhry, has beaten every other cop in the city to be declared as the best crime fighter for the year 2018.
According to the annual performance report of Lahore police’s investigation wing, Dr Anoosh has been ranked the top crime investigator as, under her supervision, the investigation wing of Model Town division police successfully submitted challans of 74 per cent of crime cases in local courts.
The report has further declared Civil Lines SP as the second best while the Cantonment SP as the third best crime investigators.
Doing her MBBS from Fatima Jinnah Medical College, SP Dr Anoosh Masood is among the four female ASPs who were allocated in the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) in the 40th Common Training Programme.
She was also Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) first-ever woman ASP.
In early 2018, Dr Anoosh had been widely praised by police high-ups as well as the general public for solving a bank robbery case and arresting the culprit in record time.
