KARACHI: (Dunya News) –Federal government has on Sunday decided not to postpone Saulat Mirza’s execution for the third time as the Anti-terror Court (ATC) issued black warrants to hang Saulat Mirza on 12th of May, 2015. After consultations among federal government officials, the government has decided not to postpone the execution further, reported Dunya News.
ATC issued the black warrants to hang former Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker Saulat Mirza on May 12. It is pertinent to mention here that it is the third time his black warrants have been issued.
On March 18, Saulat Mirza had made some serious allegations against MQM leadership in a video message recorded at the Machh Jail in Balochistan. His execution had been postponed till April 30 after surfacing of this video and the federal government had ordered forming Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in the light of Saulat Mirza’s statements.
During the last few days, police and security agencies’ officials interrogated Saulat Mirza in Machh Jail.
Sindh High Court has also rejected a petition filed to reopen the murder case of Shahid Hamid, former Managing Director of Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) and to postpone Saulat Mirza’s execution. This petition had been filed by Saulat Mirza’s wife Nighat Mirza. However, Sindh High Court rejected the petition on Friday, maintaining that the Supreme Court of Pakistan had already given a verdict in this case and therefore, the case could not be reopened.
Saulat Mirza was sentenced to death in1999.

JIT suggested to federal govt that there is nothing new in his statement and his allegations could not be proved in court ... So it would be better to hang him in old account .............
