NEW DELHI - The fear of the Pakistani rising talent and its popularity among the Indian crowd is forcing India to ban Pakistani Artists to work in Hindi films.

Indian Motion Pictures Producers' Association (IMPPA) is not retracting its stand on the issue of Pakistani actors working in India , anytime soon.

News agency ANI quoted the President of IMPPA, TP Aggarwal saying that the organisation had opposed the paying of Rs 5 crore to Pakistani artist, Fawad Khan, for a Karan Johar movie. He further claimed that the IMPPA is against the view of allowing Pakistani artists in Hindi film industry.

For the unversed, the IMPPA had passed a resolution to ban actors of Pakistani descent from the Indian film industry.

Several films, including 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', received a lot of criticism from political parties post the attacks along the Line of Control (LoC) in 2016, which saw several Indian jawans dead.

Earlier today, singer-turned-politician Babul Supriyo and Bollywood 's producers' council called for a temporary ban on Pakistani artists for working in the Hindi film industry.

Supriyo, a singer-turned-politician, had said Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's voice in the song "Ishtehar" from "Welcome To New York" must be removed and dubbed by someone else as he was not able to comprehend the need or desire to cross the border for entertainment content at a time when tensions on the India-Pakistan border had escalated.

In addition, DNA quoted Suresh Amin, CEO of the Indian Film and Television Producer Council (IFTPC) saying that the council is seeking to impose a 2-year ban on the Pakistani artistes working in Hindi film.

A few days back, reports about Arijit Singh losing out a song to Rahat Fateh Ali Khan in 'Welcome To New York' started doing the rounds. Followed by an objection raised by singer-turned-politician Babul Supriyo over preference being given to a Pakistani singer over Indian artist.

Reportedly, 'Welcome to New York' producer Vashu Bhagnani was also present at the press conference along with Babul. The report mentions that IFTPC CEO stated that said the producers' council will pass a resolution and notify all Bollywood producers to stop working with Pakistani artists for the next two years.

Why only 2 years????!?!?!

Ban for a 1000000 years please... We are not them and they are not us.

. .
its good these guys have no shame left they went india and bring bad name for country .

.
How pathetic of India. It was fine when were some opinions like these coming here and there but when such a stance is taken on national level its truly a shameful thing to do.
It's an unofficial ban from a film Producers group .

.
Pakistani elite, majority of the middle-upper and middle class are basically hind!ans with Muslim names. This is a sad reality. Aap ki lardkiya aur auratein hindi gaano par nachti hai in weddings and parties, your actresses adore Bollywood industry and probably do "things" in order to get ahead. The same thing precisely applies to the men as well, cuckolds and beyghairats of the highest order. Parents film their toddlers dancing on hindi tunes thinking it's "so cute" and share it with each other as a source of joy and pride :)

Mentally and culturally the country has already been defeated by the hindian enemy, thank God for the few religious conservatives (not the hypocrite jahil desi "muslims") and the tribal culture/tribes(not the waderas or chaudhrys) that Pakistan hasn't completely surrendered.

Bad grammar, facile assumptions and a conclusion that defies logic - the Times Of Islamabad (sic) just won the internet.

This thread needs to be shut down as its literally based on fake news, of course I don't have any better expectations from OP his life is based on hate mongering.

.
If these Pak artists had any self repsect they would stay in Pakistan and contribute towards the Pakistani showbiz entertainment sector. However we know after the end of the ban they'll be on the first flight back to India.

.
It's best they stay in Pakistan and help on continuing reviving Pakistan's film industry. Thankyou.

Says one who is living in the U.S. Why don't you stay in Pakistan and help on continuing reviving Pakistan's industry and economy. Thankyou?

We have lots of property in Pakistan and constantly invest in there. Despite us losing many crores due to scams, we still invest.

My mother is American and I was born in the United States.

Great move. They have no business being in our film industry. Does North Korea send their actors to South Korea? Nope.

Please be careful. Pakistan and India cannot be compared with North and South Korea.

This touted move should have come much earlier if this is not a bluff.

Goodluck !!

.
Very good decision by india.some Pakistani actors are getting out of control inside India and also showed sympathy for Indian army during fidayeen attacks.i said we are dealing with people who are enemies and sitting inside our own country.it is good that India showed them the exit door.

.
Make it 20 years.

We would be more aggressive at LOC if you need a reason to do that. Just tell us.

.
You have no business making copies of our songs, yet you do.

Pakistan should Launch a Anti Piracy , trade issue about steaing of Music and Musical work by Indians at International forums

Anyone steals Hollywood movie script or song they are sued and rediculed openly Indians need to stop stealing and copy pasting shit

Anytime a song is illegally played , money is due to artist who owns the rights to song or who created the song
