Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan (North) has always come up to the expectations while performing its role in the province. Training has always remained a challenge due to perpetual deployment of the force and complex environment of the province. In order to develop and maintain a physically agile, mentally robust, disciplined and motivated force capable of performing under all circumstances, a comprehensive training regime has been chalked out as per the vision of Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC) Balochistan (North), Major General Muhammad Yousaf Majoka. The focus of the regime is on revitalization and optimum utilization of training institutes and training facilities, making the force self-sufficient in imparting training at all levels.
In pursuance of the aim, a Counter Terrorism Complex has been established at FC Training Centre, Loralai to impart counter terrorism training to the troops of FC Balochistan (North). The facility was constructed in a short span of six months and contains state-of-the-art training facilities and equipment with the latest technology in which 2 wings/units (1400 all ranks) can undergo scenario-based training at a time. A pool of proficient instructors to run the facility has also been trained from National Counter Terrorism Center, Pabbi. The training facilities available in the complex are as follows:
▪ Mockup Vill (MUV).
▪ Isometric Complex.
▪ Open Shooting Gallery (OSG).
▪ Signal Training Lab.
▪ CIED Training Room.
▪ Check Post and Naaka (barricade) site.
▪ Multi-Purpose Tower (MPT).
▪ Cine Target Training System (CTTS).
▪ Shooting Profile System (SPS).
▪ Advance Assault Course.
▪ Platoon Post.
▪ Ambush/Anti-Ambush site.
▪ Unarmed Combat Arena.
▪ Replica of the fence installed at Pak-Afghan border.
▪ Centralized control room with live video coverage of all facilities.
The facility was inaugurated by Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali, HI (M), T Bt & Bar, Commander 12 Corps on May 11, 2022, who appreciated the efforts of FC Balochistan (North) and standard of the Counter Terrorism Complex. The facility will prove to be a lynchpin in imparting quality training to the troops of FC Balochistan (North) in particular and other Law Enforcement Agencies in general.
