ISLAMABAD: In an official statement, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan clarified on Thursday that Fauzia Kasuri was never a founding member of the party.
According to the statement, all allegations that were leveled by Kasuri against PTI leadership were baseless and false.
The statement listed Imran Khan, Naeemul Haque, Ahsan Rasheed, Hafeez Khan, Mowahid Hussain Syed, Mahmood Awan and Nausherwan Burki as the party founding members.
The seven members founded PTI in April 1996, others were members who joined afterwards.
“The party has a number of committed members who have been working since a very long time but no one else apart from the ones mentioned are founding members,” the statement said.
Kasuri quit PTI earlier this week after accusing party leadership of ignoring merit and involving itself in nepotism.
PTI Chairman had refused to award ticket to Kasuri for NA-48, the seat vacated by PTI leader Javed Hashmi, confirmed the statement.

Agreed, but then again what she did wasn't very subtle either. And then she was contacting PML women members already while she was a PTI senior member.

She should have been more considerate as well.

Yes she should have been accommodated, but its habit of Imran that he doesnot promise anything to anyone before time..he is an honest man, and it has its price, if people around him dont understand and unfortunately she made a hasty decision...

p.s. lakin yar koe Imran Khan ka bhi khiyal ker lay, woh bhi Insan hai, koe usko bhi do ghari sakoon ker lainay do...

Saw her in another show and apart for being emotional she couldn't produce any logical explanation that why she is leaving PTI. She also dogged question regarding being in contact with PMLN despite holding a senior position in PTI. Looking at her interview she is basically upset that she didn't get any seat. Although i do think that KPK reserved seat allocation has been unfair but FK is using that as an excuse as she is not a part of KPK decision making body.

Nah. She made the decision to give up her commitment to Pakistan and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf, her choice.

If you allow one kala daana in daal and before you know it, the entire daal is kaali.

Dear give some weightage to her 18 year commitment and dedication.......she must have more value then the three relative ladies of Mr. Pervaiz Khatak who are nominated and prefered in NA by PTI over her......this type of incidents show all is certainly not well in party......it is not a good sign.....

What do you mean?

She was nominated for a Reserve Seat in Punjab. She was to get the fourth Reserved Seat. She was happy about it.

But Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf only got two Reserve Seats in Punjab and so she did not get one.

This is Insaf. Take it or leave it.

What's the need to do so much drama over it?
