Its goes quite a bit beyond that.
F.Buchanan who was a British and agreat administrator found all prostitutes of Eastern India (Purnea here) being Muslims, this was in 1810.
In Westernmost India, Richard Burton who was a staunch supporter of muslim causes made same observation - that muslims were the dominant community to enter prostitution. This was in 1847, Sindh.
In 1890 Muslims of UP sent a memorandum to British that they had full monopoly over being prostitutes. This was after the Hindus held a council to boycott muslims after communal riots back then.
So if you do a honest appraisal of history, you can see that the effects of the islamic invasions on the forcibly converted continued for quite a long time. And the subsequent cultural "values" you see are the consequence.
