JAISALMER: Fake voter identity cards were found in the possession of a few Bangladeshi intruders who were caught near the Pakistan border adjoining Jaisalmer on April 10.
Jummaid (27), Shohal Ahmad (26), Junab Ali (27) and Mohammad Yaseen Miyan (56) were caught in Tanot area near Pak border last week. They had entered India from the Banfal area adjoining Bangladesh border. Out of the four intruders, three had fake voter identity cards.
Surprised by the recovery, the police have sent them to Jaipur for joint interrogation with intelligence agencies. In the fake identity cards, their father's name was wrong.
The intruders confessed that they entered India on March 1 from Bangladesh. Mohammad Yaseen Miyan took the other three by bus from Belgam bus stand to Malda.
In Malda, they went to a house, where one Abdul Kalam made fake voter Id for Jummaid, Shohal and Junab Ali. For this, they had waited for a week and later with the fake voter Id came to Delhi to leave for Jammu. They tried to get into Pakistan from Jammu but due to strict vigil, they came back to Delhi and reached Jaisalmer.
These intruders reached Tanot for going to Pakistan when alert jawans of BSF caught them.
It was also found that Mohammad Yaseen Miyan had gone to Pakistan twice illegally from the international border adjoining Jaisalmer. As he was successful twice, he tried for the third time but was caught.
Yaseen in 1983 went to Pak from Kishangarh area of Jaisalmer border. At that time, there was no fencing. Later in 2010, he managed to run into Pakistan from Kheenya wala border post of BSF adjoining Kishangarh. At that time, one more intruder was with him. The BSF got the information of this intrusion later.
It was told that Yaseen returned from Pakistan and reached Bangladesh. Once again, after taking money from intruders, he was trying to take them to Pakistan but was caught.
