Facebook on Tuesday removed actor Hamza Ali Abbasi's post in which he praised a deceased separatist commander killed by Indian forces in Indian-held Kashmir.

The social media platform had suspended Abbasi's account following the post, but later restored the account after the post had been removed.

"Look at this man. He is not an ISI agent, he is not a Mullah inspired Pakistani funded militant. He is Burhan Wani Shaheed. A KASHMIRI who joined the freedom struggle of Kashmir when his brother was killed by Indian Army. If KASHMIR issue is not resolved according to the will of Kashmiris and UN Resolutions, we have another PALESTINE in the making right in our backyard. #IAmBurhanWani #BurhanWaniShaheed #Kashmir," said the status update on Abbasi's Facebook before it was removed.

"Its absurd how the flag bearers of "Freedom of Speech" act in this way for raising a voice for victims of aggression, said Abbasi while speaking to Dawn.com

when Facebook receives enough reports about a particular account they remove it, seems like indians were following him

. . . . .
Facebook bots automatically remove posts with multiple reports, until moderators can check if the post violates facebook policy.

The post will likely be reinstated.

Haha this actually made me laugh. Lol. Naa people he's the same person who was praised so much by Indians after watching Payre Afzal that they started a trend on Twitter for his super duper acting :D

When Indians can't face the reality they report it. Nice. :)

In a statement, Facebook said: “There is no place on Facebook for content that praises or supports terrorists, terrorists organisations or terrorism. We welcome discussion on these subjects but any terrorist content has to be clearly put in context which condemns these organisations and or their violent activities. Therefore, profiles and content supporting or praising Hizbul Mujahideen and Burhan Wani are removed as soon as they are reported to us. In this instance, some content not violating that policy was removed in error, but this has now been restored.
