Air Interdiction basically refers to destruction of secondary ground targets that are not of much importance but could have potential use in the future by the enemy.

I am not sure what exactly you asked from the guy.

How is a Mach 2 aircraft designed for interception that doesnt have good low speed handling good for CAS?

i am witness of normal peacetime sortie of 45-50min of F7Ps with pair of drop tanks.

so in combat whatever the configuration F-7Ps and F7PGs - take 30-35mins...

Thats it...that is why they are called point-defense interceptors.

That would have required a huge upgrade, specially structural....I don't think it would have been feasible.
