Is it really possible to convert a plane of this scale into a UAV and make it fully functional and incase it encounters enemy fighters, it would be impossible to dodge them while controling it from the ground. Doesnt make much sense though i may be wrong.

AFAIK the 'Q' versions are only flown as targets to test misslies, they are not meant to be ELINT or RECCE platforms.

Shoen on the picture is an Shenyang F-6Q Farmer, an obsolete fighter in every sense of the word.
