Yesterday saw the movie.they kill bd lea personals like flies in the movie.
It dont think two men in real world can do this.its movie so take it as a movie.
Heroes look like mola jat and nori nutt with latest weapons.if anybody watched punjabi movie mola jat he will get my point.

Could you point me to one of those videos? I would like to read comments. They showed it as a slum. God entire city was a slum not some parts.
Its a complete rip off of John Wick action sequences and a plot that steals from various other movies.
Bangladeshi law enforcement is shown to be massively incompetent and the gora hero and his nemesis-turned-ally (a former Indian Special Forces type who also happens to be the uncle of the hostage) turn the entire city of Dhaka (which looks like it is a never ending slum) completely upside down as if its their personal "baap ki jageer"
. I think between the two, our heroes kill at least a battalion's worth of heavily armed and protected BD forces in this movie.
Very much so made for the Indian market. Don't think it will get much acclaim elsewhere given the plot is a well trodden one. What they tried to do with their action sequences has been mastered and done three times over by the John Wick series and then some others. By the way the bad guys, as always, are Muslims and this is also the reason that it happens to show Bangladesh (I guess Pakistan has been used and abused too much in such movies so time for a change of scenery). Absolutely no idea why the movie even needed BD to be in the plot. Two thugs in the crime underworld of India could have been shown to go after each other but then it would have made India look bad. So even a despicable thug in India is made to look nice because the nasty Bangladeshis kidnapped his son and took him to a ghettoistan aka Bangladesh (as per the movie).
If all you care about is mindless action and violence, this movie is okay (but you will have seen many that are much better both in plot and in general). If you are going in with a more nuanced viewing palette, it will come across as a dissapointment.

Dhaka is not like that - far from it. There are slums (what city in the subcontinent doesn't), but not as many as the movie shows...the slum scenes I believe were almost all shot in India.
And no one in Bangladesh talks in Kolkata accent - like in the movie. The 'Bangladeshi armed forces' folks are all Kolkata actors....

They are all sets. I know. Just reinforces the idea of Bangladesh as being filled with slums. Don't worry - India went thru the same image in movies like City of Joy in the 80s/90s. The novel on which the movie is based actually had the setting of South America. How that changed to South Asia is anyone's guess. Probably for the Indian market.

And the fact that only establishing scenes were shot in Dhaka, Chris didn’t come to Dhaka to act. Most scenes were done in Mumbai. Only the river side scenes in Dhaka.
Lucky in a way, all those structures near the river are gone, there’s no way another movie in the future can have that scene

One of the most anticipated new movies of this year "Extraction", which is based on Dhaka, was released on Netflix Friday noon. The three minute long trailer on YouTube shows quite a few glimpses of the city. As a matter of fact, the movie was named "Dhaka" at first and changed to Extraction later.
Since the plotline of the movie mostly revolves around Dhaka, Bangladeshi viewers are naturally excited about the movie. Extraction stars Chris Hemsworth as the protagonist - a mercenary named Tyler Rake. Other cast members include Iranian actress Golshifteh Farahani, Indian actor Randeep Hooda and Pankaj Tripathi, among others.
The movie was scheduled to be shot completely in Dhaka, but the decision was changed later. While speaking to The Business Standard, Bangladeshi veteran actor Tariq Anam Khan, who was in charge of the shooting in Bangladesh, said that the film has been directed by Sam Hargrave and produced by Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo. However, Khan declined to comment further on the matter.
It has been found that the movie was produced under Indochina Production, a Thai production house. Khan is the film's production partner for Bangladesh's portion of the shooting. Indochina Production was also in charge of a few Marvel movies including Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War.
An anonymous source from the shooting crew in Bangladesh informed that the film was shot for three days in Dhaka in February last year. However, a small team of Hargrave and a few others joined the Bangladesh team, sans the actors. The shooting took place in Old Dhaka, Jatrabari and other nearby areas by setting up a temporary camp. The team would wake up very early every day. Sometimes they needed to take early morning shots and had to wait till the winter fog dissipated. The workflow was very methodical and they always waited to take the best shot.
Another member of the Bangladesh crew informed that after the plan to shoot in Dhaka was a no-go, the management planned to continue with the shoot in Mumbai, but that plan was also scrapped. At the last minute, the crew managed to shoot the remainder of the scenes on a road in Bangkok to mimic Old Dhaka. Some of the shots were taken in chroma to merge it properly with the scenarios of Old Dhaka Director. Hargrave himself took some shots of the Buriganga river and its bridge.
Speaking about his experience, Tariq Anam Khan said, "The experience was definitely good. Our first experience working with them was back in 2014, during the shooting of Avengers. That experience came in handy this time."
The movie's story surrounds a clash between Indian and Bangladeshi crime lords as the son of an Indian crime lord is kidnapped and brought to Dhaka. Hemsworth arrives in Dhaka to extract the hostage. Aside from the action, the story also includes Tyler Rake's life story.

Interesting for you to state that given all the filming was done in India and those are Indian neighborhoods. Also, let's get a tally on what is "so many". How many millions out of a nation of 170million are flocking over to South Asia's Switzerland i.e. India?
"Production began in Ahmedabad and Mumbai in November 2018. Filming next took place in Ban Pong, Ratchaburi, Thailand and plateshots in Dhaka, Bangladesh."
In other words, none of the scenes were shot in Dhaka. They used the plateshots for rendering the scenes in Ahmedabad and Mumbai to look a little more like Dhaka.
