Except Israel has nukes and a far better air force than Iran.

Iran's best bet would be to fire missiles until Israel's ABM systems start running low on munitions, in an attempt to persuade Israel to withdraw from the West Bank.

But that probably wouldn't work either, NATO would likely rush to Israel's aid and bomb the crap out of Iran.

Best to just supply the Palestinians with weapons.

If beeing close is the only thing needed to defeat a country, Pakistan could have defeated India in five minutes. That has not happened.
