Ex-India judge ridicules own country for Pakistan isolation propaganda

NEW DELHI: Former judge of Supreme Court of India Markandey Katju burst the bubble of Indians who propagates that they have isolated Pakistan following Uri attacks.

In his Facebook status, he criticized Indian media for creating false propaganda against Pakistan and raised a question as to how Pakistan has been isolated after Uri attack.

He shared some facts about Pakistan and its ties with powerful countries like China, Russia and US.

“Much of the media, especially the TV channels which have grown increasingly aggressive these days, have an immense capacity to deceive themselves as well as the public.

“They repeatedly parrot that Pakistan has been isolated after the Uri attack. But how?” he questioned.

“China, which has become a super power after the collapse of the Soviet Union, has enormous economic interest in Pakistan with its huge investment in Balochistan.”

“Russia, which is still a powerful country despite collapse of the Soviet Union, is conducting a joint military drill with Pakistan.”

“And USA has still an interest in retaining Pakistan as an independent country. So where is the isolation?” he asked.

“Yes, we may have isolated Pakistan from the SAARC countries, but these countries like Afghanistan, Nepal and Bhutan are poor and underdeveloped, and hardly count in world real politics,” he said.

Even Indians are trashing Modi's claimed "diplomatic offensive against Pakistan". Modi is a total failure when it comes to Pakistan or handling Kashmir.

What could Modi do instead;

Next time when there is a terrorist attack in India, I expect rather suggest;

• Modi should fly to Pakistan and hold a up-close meeting instead of blaming Pakistan for that.
• Engage Pakistan if it thinks Pakistan is involved. Establish a joint investigation panel together with Pakistan and give them space to investigate. There are Indian terrorists who may be using Pakistan's mask to sabotage peace in India.
• Listen to Kashmirs, Sikhs, Dalits Nexals and other suppressed in India. Adopt an inclusive policy instead of policy of discrimination. Modi should learn to hate less.
• Establish a forum to address resolution of Kashmir. We know India doesn't want to lose water, fair enough. Negotiate a deal with the state of Kashmir and Pakistan that would continue to honour water-treaties we have.
• Pull the plug from all insane elements in India who are creating problems for India and region. This include RSS and RAW which is involved in terrorism in Pakistan.

Do that and see if your policies towards Pakistan work.

Isolation is relative word. No country in the world can be totally isolated , let alone Pakistan that has 180 million people, unless they act irresponsibly like NK. Even NK is not totally isolated and has China as a its benefactor. But a diplomatic onslaught by India, a huge market and influential country, can have substantial effect on how world deals with Pakistan.
