They can't make it to US these days because DV lottery is banned for India for decades. Turning them minority among Indians in US.

I kid you not, they were on H1B's as well. Some were contractors, some were filing for green cards. Nevertheless, not too bright to deserve the position. Even some Americans were like that.

Dumb. Countries don't send people. US takes whoever it wants. H1B bias towards Indians is no secret.

Naaah, a lot of folks who go to US belong to private engineering colleges of south India and Punjab. It is fairly hard to get a scholarship in USA since 2001 or so due to budget cuts. So the majority of the folks going there are those whose fathers and uncles can pony up 30-40K tuition and living expenses. Read F-1 interview experiences on the internet sometimes or go visit testmagic.com portal. Most of the folks are from private colleges. Satya Nadella, the CEO of MS, is a product of 'MIT' -- Manipal Institute of Technology, a private college.
Oh, btw, yours truely has too many siblings who are IITians. Almost all of them are 8 or 9 pointers in their respective IITs and most of them are in India only, working for firms in India or running their own businesses.

Still not convinced. Okay lets take another approach actually...

Take Amazon or Google or Microsoft or Facebook as an example... For a mid level engineer about 6-7 years of experience, can earn around Rs 35-40 Lakh in Bengaluru or USD 160 K in USA. Now, Rs 40 Lakh in Bengaluru has a huge buying power. You can have large house, luxury car and servants. Not possible in Silicon Valley with a Salary of 160K or even 180K. BTW, you can check all this data on glassdoor.com.

LOL. I am an IITian and I can guarantee you that our trash are better than your best. and Let's be clear, very few from IITs go to US or other countries for doing job. Most of us go to USA or Europe only for higher studies.

Now all depends on Indian hirings, where job growth has been declining. The honeymoon of previous years is over.

The key for hiring in India lies with top 5 IT compainies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys & HCL tech.. A report by Naukri.com indicates bleak figures of job growth around 7-8% [previously 40% in 2016]. The HR of these companies have already warned days of increases in hiring are gone. The biggest job killer of Indians is/will be automation, as per reports by 2021, 25% of the jobs will be lost. [the low-end jobs]

IT firm Cognizant, with Headquarters in Chennai is planning to layoff 6000 of its workforce, in current situation job prospects of many thousands of indian engineers are already gone. Modi now would have to create social trolling platforms to give jobs rofl.

Those exports are Back office work and Software engineers working outside, there is nothing India produced work mentioning

Not surprised. For decades the best Indians (1 in a million sort of thing) were being imported in to US with H1B while DV is banned for India (keeping out all the trash).

India uses own developed software in most govt & pvt sector.If you can search there are plenty India produced softwares or apps being used by people of India.Also have a look at our worth of IT industry at least.

So in the 70s and 80s you guys thought ok well they have money thats why they dont see us equal, so you work hard and send thousands of hard working Code Coolies to western countries to make India rich, they earn minimum pays (for that category of jobs) and send money home, India counted that money as export. So, bank balance started getting bigger. Now Indians thought huh now they will consider us equal...but we still didnt....so now comes a barrage of "We have money now" , from every Indian politician, from every Indian we see and from every India TV channels yelling "look we have more money now"....we still brush you off...still not equal
