President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen called on member states to adopt a 10th sanctions package against Russia that also includes a ban on Iranian companies.

Lmao, calm down dude. Every country/bloc is free to do what is good for their national interests. Just like Iran supporting Russian invasion of Ukraine and supplying weapons to Moscow in return for Russian support. So too is the E.U in its own right to sanction Iranian companies engaged in this weapon sales which threatens Europe's eastern countries security. Else you guys should have stayed out of it like China and India but you decided you want to involved in big powers plays....... so why cry foul?

Wouldn't change reality of Iran being isolated and sanction again even more though. As I said, if you want to be involved in big powers play instead of staying away from it, then you should obviously be ready for consequences.

They sanction Iran military industry companies but they dont sanction Iran state or oil companies (like they did without reasons in 2012).

France is more realistic on the topic hydrogen made by nuclear plants, but gets "suppressed" by ideologic brain dead german politicians. There was a very good chance/way 25 years ago, and if France and Germany had take it, then 50+% less natural gas would be needed today. But hey "shut down the nuclear plants" in 2011 was the german sepukku call and leads to all that energy warps in europe.

And that is the way Europe has to go too in fields of energy or high tech. try to be independend in all main fields. Ok, Iran has oil, gas, ressources, is a rich land, but Europe has (still) the ability to build up tech. And imagine, Germany has so much "nuclear waste" in the stores, with the right tech it could produce energy for decades with it. Only the will is needed.

Sanctions are not really working though? Iran is still a regional power in the Middle East on par with KSA and Turkey. "Big powers play" lol. The only 3 relevant countries or "big boys" in the world are Russia, China and the US. Maybe India will be among the "big boys" by the middle of this century.
