Mate when PIA flies in UK airspace its not a Pakistani Internal matter its UK's matter as well. Same goes for EU and other blocks. If your aircraft/pilots are compromised no decent aviation authority will let you use their airspace.

No its not, safety was the same reason why PIA got banned a few years ago as well. Bulk of EU airlines don't service Pakistan, BA being the exception as I have learned today. There is no hidden motive, PIA is a liability in the air, simples.

That would be interesting twist but imo no. Most likely it has been done to put pressure for something to be done. In Pakistan, in past, such inquiries were kept under wraps and eventually it is the case of out of sight and out of mind. Also lets not forget how there are stay orders. Publicly almost "shaming" so to say will put pressure. EU body banning or other intl bodies threatening with action is a blessing in disguise bcz the PIA mafia else wise will not let anything be done and we will have courts giving stay orders.
Now the situation will be like do or die and this suits any possible attempt at reform or betterment.

What ails PIA is a exposition on what disease afflicts the wider Pakistani economy. The basic premise of private enterprise is "the customer always comes first" but in Pakistan the motto is "how to rape the customer".

This applies to PIA customers, Pakistan auto sector, sugar, textiles, etc etc and rest of Pakistan's economy. Instead of service, service it's rape, rape .... with the poor customer being screwed at every turn.

This is good news and since we have corona no ones would like to go to europe and we have time to clean PIA.

Suppose if pia crash within europe on houses and they do investigation and news comes up that Pakistani pilots are fake then that would be the end of PIA from all over the world.
