LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Monday called on Turk President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara and discussed national and regional matters.
According to a handout, he congratulated the Turk president over victory in election and said that the success of ruling party in election reflected unconditional confidence in the performance of government and his leadership by the people of Turkey.
Turk President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Turkey considers Pakistan its best friend and Turk government and the people wanted to see Pakistan progressing.
He said that heart of Turkey beats with heart of Pakistan, adding that their problems and joys were common. The Turkish president said that Pakistani people had equal rights over our resources and Turk people were always ready to extend cooperation to Pakistan in every sector.
He said the support of Turk people and prayers of Pakistani people were included in this success. The chief minister said that he had come to Turkey with the felicitation message and congratulation on behalf of Pakistani people.
Shahbaz said the people of Pakistan were grieved over the recent incidents of terrorism in Turkey.
He expressed the hope that Turkey would continue similar cooperation to Pakistan in other sectors particularly energy.-APP
