Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Kuala Lumpur Summit in the Malaysian capital, Turkish President Recep Erdoğan reiterated that the world is bigger than five, as referring to the five permanent UN Security Council members. Erdoğan also stressed that the fate of 1.7 billion Muslims in the world is no longer in the hands of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council.

The fate of 1.7 billion Muslims in the world is no longer in the hands of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Thursday.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Kuala Lumpur Summit in the Malaysian capital, Erdoğan reiterated that the world is bigger than five, referring to the five permanent UN Security Council members, whose veto power could prove catastrophic for smaller nations.

"The world is bigger than five" is a famous slogan repeatedly used by Erdoğan to criticize the permanent council members -- China, France, Russia, the U.K. and the U.S.

Erdoğan said: "It is a must to update platforms bringing Islamic countries together, such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to increase its efficacy."

He went on to say: "Unfortunately, we [Muslim countries] are wasting our energy on internal disputes at a time when artificial intelligence, quantum computers, robotic technologies are discussed.

"I know that none of us, as leaders who shoulder the responsibility of hundreds of millions of Muslims, are satisfied with this picture."

Erdoğan underlined the importance of focusing on potential solutions rather than constantly dwelling on problems.

''We should focus on projects that will stimulate our potential and cancel each other's deficiencies," he advised.

At the opening ceremony, Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani as well as the host, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, delivered speeches.

Hundreds of government officials, businessmen, representatives of civil societies and experts from different sectors across the Muslim world are taking part in the summit.

"TURKEY WILL NOT BOW TO PRESSURES"

Erdoğan underlined that Turkey did not and would not give in to internal and external pressure to silence it, including through a coup attempt, economic terror and slander.

"As they try to silence Turkey, we insist on calling attention to Palestine, Gaza, the Rohingya, Libya, Somalia and Syria," he stressed.

Referring to Turkey's fight against the terror groups YPG/PKK and Daesh, he said: "In spite of efforts to legalize terrorism, we are fighting against all terror organizations without exception."

Turkey launched Operation Peace Spring on Oct. 9 to eliminate YPG/PKK terrorists from northern Syria in order to secure Turkey's borders, aid in the safe return of Syrian refugees and ensure Syria's territorial integrity.

Under two separate deals with the U.S. and Russia, Turkey paused the operation to allow the withdrawal of YPG/PKK terrorists from a planned Syrian safe zone.

In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the European Union -- has been responsible for the deaths of 40,000 people.

Turkey also recognized Daesh/ISIS as a terrorist organization in 2013. Since then, the country has been attacked by Daesh/ISIS terrorists numerous times, including 10 suicide bombings, seven bombings and four armed attacks which killed 315 people and injured hundreds.

In response, Turkey has launched military and police operations inside the country and abroad.

Aren't you desperate for a reason to survive these days?

Pakistan has friendly relations with India too. Recently both countries opened the Kartarpur corridor fulfilling the demands of Sikh minority in Pakistan.

Meanwhile India has threatened to annex Bangladesh as part of election campaign this very year.

Fascism and that too socialist fascism cannot be dealt by mere debate.

Pakistan has lamented recently how financial blackmail is becoming an excuse to condone genocide of Muslims. At the UN the Pakistani statement was quite clear that Muslim rights are Human rights and all humans should stand for each others human rights.

The Indian financial blackmail is quite apparent in the middle east and the western world. It is therefore imperative for the survival of Muslims in India that the Muslim world boycotts India as their global trade partner.

He’s exactly right at least we now have some with iron balls to say it.

Erdogan's pro Muslim stance mirrors the popular opinion of the Muslims of Pakistan in their commentary of the Muslim world.

Desperate to survive???...Come on wake up man...it is not time to sleep and dream...

Friends do not claim on each others territory. So definitely i do not consider Pakistan as friendly but that does not mean, we are hell bent on killing and wiping out each other..

Every now and then i hear that Pakistan will liberate and nuke us to fulfill injustice for your fellow brothers...Obviously it is not happening since the day you guys got nuke...

India should resign from Hinduism and submit to the true way

India knows what is our future...Better you guys focous on your middle east and make it peaceful rather than killing each other since last decades...

Muslims need a dominant Muslim power. Christians have the USA which keeps Christian nations under its control.

Theirs only Pakistan & Turkey as dominant Muslim powers at the moment — problem is Arabs think who control Mecca & Medina should be leader — unless we get it out of our heads one doesn’t need to directly rule that place we can see a block being formed.

Only once the oil money cartel breaks and hopefully soon with new technology in automotive industry, etc we wouldn’t see much change. But even this is a matter of time as these GCC countries are now running around and trying to diversify but its to late for them anyways.

Pakistan today made it crystal clear that it refuses to play the boogeyman, Indian fascist state needs to survive.

Rioting and communal violence has raged on for two days in India as internet services continue to be under strict government control.

What you are referring to is documented as the final solution in fascist ideologies.
