The test series will be exciting, we have to bag it and white wash the English. Our test team in particular are playing some quality Cricket. ODI's will be exciting, we need to come up with a permanent team, instead of making experiments every now and then. Overall looking forward to this series, will be exciting. Is Haris selected for the ODI's? don't know why they dropped him for the Zimbabwe tour. He is a good prospect.

I doubt. don't have faith in Pakistani batting, however, we can expect anything from them. Inclusion of shoaib Malik in test squad is great decision. I guess Haris hasn't made it for this series. He hasn't played a big innings so far but still i can say he is a quality middle order player. I like his batting style

Leg spinner, Yasir Shah could be out for tomorrow's test match due to injury, not good sign for Pakistan Team.

Azhar Ali already out of first test due to foot injury and questions about Yasir Shah too due to injury. Bad signs for Pak Team for first test.

Only in cricket could the Decision Review System be used to overturn a decision without having the technology in place to prove it was wrong. Confused? Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq was after the most controversial of dismissals.

The first day of this first Test had proved a predictably thankless task in the most unforgiving conditions in world cricket for England until they were given a lifeline by an extraordinary decision from TV umpire S Ravi.

Misbah is the cricketing king of Abu Dhabi, with four centuries in his last four Tests here and an average of 120 on this ground, and he looked certain to add many more runs, with England toiling in this soulless, largely deserted arena.

Ian Bell leads a group of England players off the field at the close of play on the first day

That was until England went up for a catch behind off Jimmy Anderson and Alastair Cook reviewed umpire Paul Reiffel’s not out decision only, it seemed, because he had two up his sleeve and 80 overs were almost up.

It seemed a pointless exercise, with no HotSpot nor Realtime Snicko being used here as the ICC still refuse to pay for them, but after what seemed like an eternity Indian umpire Ravi decided he could hear an edge better than Reiffel.

No-one was more surprised than Joe Root, who could be seen in replays shaking his head, saying ‘he’s missed it’ and advising his captain not to review. Misbah, meanwhile, left shaking his head in disbelief.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::lol::lol::lol:

Shoaib Malik hits unbeaten century against England as Pakistan reach 286-4 to take control on day one of the first Test
  • Pakistan closed day one of the first Test in Abu Dhabi on 286 for four
  • Jimmy Anderson got early breakthrough dismissing Shan Masood for two
  • Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik put on a second wicket stand of 168
  • Hafeez fell for 98 and Malik reached close of play on 124 not out
  • Anderson was the pick of the England bowlers taking two wickets

Don;t you guys think there is a slight increase in improper decisions from 3rd umpires ?
I don;t exactly remember how many decisions were wrong but if you are a frequent cricket observer you will notice it too.

Couldn't these be somehow related to fixing?
