End user pact.....?

What's the End user pact of which India has done with the US during Clinton visit in India.....?plz elaborate........

in simple terms - india will be end user of the hi tech weapon we get from us a -

we cant sell them to some third country .

no we can't.They would send inspection teams from time to time to check the state of the weapons...they don't want their tech to be cannibalized and studied to reverse engineer a similar weapon(remember the sino-russo clash in the 60s when the chinese made their own mig-21 from their russian delivered planes)
so we can't modify anything...it's like buying an original copy of windows after buying scratched pirated CDs all your life.

In that case i haven't signed any end user agreement lol

actually the end user agreement for india is special

india gets to choose as to where and when the inspections take place....
they cannot come simply to any base and check out the stuff they provided.....

the only problem is we cannot study(reverse engineer) or sell the system at the time of its retirement to any other country....i think thats ok ....as long as they do not enter our bases without permission....

its more like patent laws !!!

Yes, of course we do have pact with US.They can visit anytime to inspect and i guess the other part is that you are pulling it from your rear.
