Emirates Airlines has imposed a lifetime travel ban on Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri and is also considering initiating legal proceedings against him for keeping the aircraft ‘hostage’ for several hours at Lahore airport after the flight was diverted by the Pakistani government to Lahore from Islamabad over security concerns, a private news channel has reported.

According to the channel, the airliner was forced to take the decision after Qadri refused to get off the aircraft in Lahore and also barred other passengers from disembarking until he negotiated a deal with the provincial authorities.

The airliner believes that this act of Qadri was tantamount to hijacking therefore it was mulling legal options.

They shouldn't have let him on board in the first place! But he surely deserves a ban, and a lawsuit for his theatrics!

Let's see how many other airlines put a ban on him. This should be interesting!

well he already says he is not going back, guess he knows that there is no more travel in his life anymore
What do you think, is he more of a Liability inside Pakistan, or outside?

I agree with the airline. These stupid illiterate politician make your country look bad and third class. This guy should be sent to jail for disrupting people's lives and not to mention, forcing an airline's jet to remain on the ground. What is wrong with you guys? Look at how you put these idiots as your leaders and they give out such a bad impression of your country......elect mild, business minded people who can take your country towards a more tolerant, peaceful and economically better place.

Government pis rahi hai beech main. There is just so much confusion. I am a strong PMLN supporter but even I think NS needs to come out as a strong leader and aware everyone in Pakistan whats happening. Everything is happening behind closed doors.

Let the government do its 4 years, they have initiated many mega projects that will change the destiny of Pakistan. Let them work. They came with a good intention, they havent done anything that could doubt their intentions.

As far as these protests are concerned, government needs to take a strong stance. Either allow these douchebags to protests or NOT. if they aren't allowed to protest, than atleast maintain the writ of the government by enforcing your stance, for God Sake. Section 144 was imposed in Islo-Pindi, yet those idiots managed to badly hurt hundreds of police men.

In my opinion, the only reason why there is so much confusion is because the military and the govt are not on the same page. Its either that, or they are completely on the same page and which is why the government does not seem to care a bit.

Good decision by the airline, he had clearly hijacked the plane from Islamabad to Lahore.

Stopping other people from leaving the plane for hours does tantamount to hijacking. A Lifetime ban on him and his followers on plane is the least Airlines can do. I hope this is made an example case and other foreign airlines should also put him and his gang on watchlist.

NS should have asked his brother to resign after Lahore fiasco. Resignation from his brother would have strengthened his image and this fellow would not have dared to pull off such a stunt.

This guy looks like another attention hungry leader. Why demand Army protection if you want to bring Inquilab.? Bulletproof Car se inquilab to nahi aayega..
