Emerging India Cities, drone footage

. .
Some decent cityscapes have started to emerge in Indian cities. But still far away from any global standards. We have miles to go.

Indian cities are damn cheap to live in. I am living in world's fastest growing city yet the cost of living is very very low. You can gat a decent 2 BHK house for 7500 Rs rent. Vegetables, fruits and other goods items are damn cheap. Other cities are highly costly and unaffordable for even locals. While in Indian cities, migrants from across India comes and settle. This is the main difference. Munciple services are also damn cheap. We are a nation of 1.3 bn people and not of 250 million people like Australia. So matching them will be difficult but what India is doing is very nice.

First Australia doesn't have 250 million people, Second mass migration to cities is a global norm cos that's where jobs are created mainly, It's not a Indian phenomenon

@waz @Dubious Posts #5,7,8,11 are derailing thread....

I also request @HariPrasad and @Mage to delete their off topic posts. No point asking the 3rd one (spam troll) who is aptly named.

Yes we know that drone footage doesn't capture the whole reality of the city, that is not point of this thread. The point is the built up CBD area change from what many of us have in our memories and perception.

What does 'BHK' mean? Is it 'bedrooms' or is it a unit of measure?

. .
Bedroom, Hall, Kitchen....the number denotes number of bedrooms.

It is to distinguish from dwellings that are just one large shared room etc.

Thanks!

@HariPrasad that is quite amazing. You can barely get a single room with a bathroom in a mid tier neighbourhood in Lahore for that much. Is it due to rent control? I know that Mumbai is very rent controlled.

The problem is that these idiods pops up in every India thread to expose their ignorance. Whey don't they post this in their china development thread. We shall cheer and give them likes. They always try to compare and write their BS.

Thank you for showing a demolition site. After the rubbles are cleared, something modern will be built over it.

India, on the other hand, has this wonderfully spiritual invention called slums, which can be traced back to Vedic India. Watch the video below and admire the organic poverty that expresses itself in the most quintessentially Hindu way. Incredible India indeed!

They are not so much overrated as they are highly selective...

No I can post hundreds such photos of Beijing and how thousands of pigs died of pollution but I do not want to enter into it. This is about the development of India so take your BS somewhere else. I know your back side is burning very badly but take your BU** hurt somewhere else.

Buddy just dont feed the troll. If I have started the thread, don't worry, I will get around to dealing with the spam trolls that try to stink it up/derail somehow...just need to ignore and be patient and give me a chance for a bit etc....rather than feed it first thing when u come across its squatting.

You can have all the fun you want to from get go with the spam threads that this dooodooo character starts though.

I think this happened because builders build the houses in big way surpassing highly growing demand. In my city, there are 2.5 lakh houses which are unsold. Because of only this the price of House property has stabilized and quality of construction has gone up significantly beyond the imagination of many. Now the construction cost is just a fraction of land cost so nobody tries to save any money in construction. Construction material is very cheap because of large scale production except bricks which are in scarcity as it has to be made from some special soil. Labour and masons are fairly in demand. Many people has purchased houses for investment so they rent it. Now in cities, rent rate is about 2% of property value. i.e if your house cost 50 lakh, you may get 1 lakh rent per year.
