Presidency says $1 million paid to Ajmer Sharif from exchequer
Umar Cheema
Friday, May 18, 2012

ISLAMABAD: Finally, a million dollar question has been answered. President Asif Ali Zardari’s hefty donation for Dargah Ajmer Sharif is from the taxpayers’ money that, according to the Dargah’s administration, was the biggest in recent years. The Presidency has confirmed this.

President Zardari’s spokesman Senator Farhatullah Babar confirmed to The News that the donation for the Dargah would be paid from public money. As Zardari earlier handed a cheque for $50,000 to the administrators of mausoleum of Bahadur Shah Zafar, the last Mughal emperor buried in Rangoon, for looking after the resting place, it was also paid from the public exchequer, confirmed his spokesman.

The presidential announcement has been under debate since April 8, the day he went there. There was no official word to clear the fog on a question whether it will be paid from Zardari’s pocket or from the public exchequer.Farhatullah Babar’s confirmation to The News is the first-ever official acknowledgement on this.

While such a fat amount was given to a Dargah during a private visit and through public exchequer, the PPP government, while taking credit of Dr Chishty’s release, has not offered a penny when his surety bond of Indian Rs500,000 ($9,200) was to be deposited in the Indian Supreme Court. Mahesh Bhatt, an Indian film producer and a peace activist, paid it on behalf of Dr Chishty.

Is public money personal equity of Zardari??
is funding some house of ***** in any kind of national intrest of Pakistan other than a cheap shot of zardari media popularity in India..

how can our leaders be such morons?

Arent there enough problems in Pakistan already to solve and invest?

.
This is another very very very unfair act from Mr. 10% ... In fact very very very cheap act.... no in fact i dont have words to express how cheap is that...

.
So Pakistan pumped free money into the Indian economy?

Was the President having one of those rumored mental breakdown episodes?

I understand his greed to pocket money, but to throw our money away shows he has person animosity towards Pakistan.

Looks like he wanted to transfer a part of his black money to India and he used this as a reason to do so...the ajmeris are not exactly known for their ethics..they will side anyone with money!

Let there be no doubt on the title....... while aid alone is not the sole reason for the given title.
Zardari has safely sailed out of various treasonous acts,,,,, which is proof enough that he is entitled for the title.

He has committed no treasonous acts. He is our valiant president

It's ok sir,

1 million dollar is not a very big amount for the government. It's just 9 crore rupees and Ajmer Shareef being one of the most popular Muslim shrine, it is completely fine to donate 1 million dollar.

Imagine Manmohan Singh visiting Pakistan and donating 1 million dollars to Nankana Sahab, I don't think it is going to hurt Indian sikh's if they see better infrastructure at their sacred places

He started with burning of Chairing Cross Lahore and list goes ON.
Any how for you appeasement:
