Hay brother that means you are not familiar with Lunar Calendar.

Every month before a new moon would start, there is a time slot in which moon becomes invisible and then begins its new lunar phase as a crescent. The start of new moon means start of a new month and Muslims celebrate Eid ul Fitar on 1st day of 10th Islamic Month. If moon has been sighted, that means old month has ended and new month has started.
