Probably since their equivalent vehicles are heavier and more logistics draining. Since France and egypt are cozy with one another, and have common interests, its best for the French to score easy on something that can be as advanced as their models while filling specific roles

I don't think SK is pitching this hard, SK's 2022 presidential visit was mostly focused on K9's it seemed.

I don't think SK is pitching this hard, SK's 2022 presidential visit was mostly focused on K9's it seemed.

Looks likely SK is winning the deal. First last year, we saw an mockup of FA-50 with the Egyptian flag and there is more confirmed news from officials like the AOI who will build the aircraft locally. We saw more KAI-AOI meetings than HAL-AOI meeting. Till now we didn't see any HAL representitives in Egypt talking with the Egyptian part.
The signing of this deal will be in the next EDEX-2023 exactly like we did with the K9 Thunder.
