In addition, it is the only country that manufactures 100% nuclear components for the plant worldwide, and does not depend on importing the plant's components from any other country.
He added that Russia does not put any political conditions on Egypt to establish the nuclear plant, adding that the terms of the Russian contract also include that Egypt pay the value of the nuclear plant after the completion and operation of the plant from the savings resulting from the station with a grace period to be determined by agreement between the two sides, As well as the establishment of Russian factories in Egypt to manufacture the components of the nuclear plant locally, which will develop the local industry in Egypt.
He announced that the work will begin tomorrow officially after giving by President Abdul-Fattah al-Sisi the green light to the start of the project, stressing that the Russian side began processing the land since November 2015.
Energy utilization in seawater desalination:
He pointed out that the electricity generated from the four nuclear reactors will be used with a capacity of 4800 megawatts to desalinate water, whether in Dabaa or alamein, to save huge amounts of money in seawater desalination to turn it into potable water.
Shaker confirmed that the first nuclear reactor will be operated with a capacity of 1200 megawatts, during the fiscal year 2026-2027, and the rest will continue until 2029.
