So it’s time for Shehzad Roy to cash-in his fine reputation of being a sensitive, forward looking, philanthropist, and GeoTV certainly has its own repute for selling out liberal values in a fashion that the core value of Islam are to be necessarily undermined.

For Shehzad Roy to present our nation as a donkey producing nation and worthless in all other criteria, is in itself an education of inferiority to the masses; it is unacceptable and shocking.

It is very important for us to make it clear at this point, where exactly the difference between Islam and Liberalism lies. We as Muslims believe that the prime values upon which civilization can sustain, like equality, justice, freedom, altruism, inquiry and all other good things are originated in Islam. Islam is not conservative for vile things or maintaining a status quo over whatever wrong has entered our religion, Islam conserves only the highest morals. Like with all religions, much has entered our religion by way of stagnancy in the thought-process and by way of accepting ideas from the external when we were weak from inside. Therefore to be progressive and forward looking, what the Muslims have to do is to revert to the light-giving source of Islam; the Quran and the Sunnah, not forsake it.

But for those immature minds, who have been trained in the same imported thinking as upheld in elite English institutions; it is easy to be dazzled by the flickers that come from the West. Shehzad Roy has asserted in his program ‘Chal Parha’ that religion is wrongly being taught in all subjects other than Islamiat, like Urdu, English, Science and Social Studies, and he seems to pose that he knows it all. But perhaps he has not seem the syllabus being taught in all our elite English school, that are using imported textbooks, wherein myths of dragons and legendary figures of Europe are being taught in Social Studies; Darwinism (a disproven theory, portrayed as a basic law) is being taught in Science; and Liberal ideas are being taught in English and Urdu; is all this not religion and culturing of a particular mindset? Perhaps Roy should make it clear what code of ethics he wants to replace for the Islamic code of ethics.

Roy says our syllabus is too much filled with stories of Islamic victors; yes he is right in saying that more about the scientific achievements of great Muslim scientists should be embedded in our syllabus, but his supposition that by telling a kid about the strength of our ancestors will make the kid a terrorist, is wrong.

We are not for war, but at a time when terror is being ‘financed’ into our country, when we have been encircled strategically, economically and psychologically by several actors from outside our state, it is not a time to preach passiveness and self-remorse but a time to boost the declining morale of our people. People like Shehzad Roy may have the privilege to live in a bubble of self-deceit from where they are unable to see that NATO is starting a new war front every month in a new country; all of a sudden the whole world has become breeding grounds of Terrorism and the US/NATO alliance is there to fight it with all its machines and drones; is that not ‘War’ for Roy, or is there a selective moral, which Roy believes in, wherein war is good when done by western entities.

In a clip from the program, Roy asks a principal of an elite English school about the revision of syllabus/curriculum of their school and the Lady boldly asserts that the British revise their curriculum every year and we change every year according to the ‘Change’ they prescribe for us; that is the only way we will meet the global challenges, she says. Perhaps the Lady is unaware that by inducing ‘Change’ based on liberal and secular ideologies, their institution is not preparing our youth for facing the global challenges but for accepting mental slavery, that also with a copy-cat pride and belittled self-identity.

What is needed in earnest is to alert and train the citizens of the country against the harboring of terror elements in their midst. What is needed is a campaign against vulgarity being spread through all channels of information; does that not alarm the likes of Roy as means of polluting the thought system of our youth. What is needed is the revival of our identity with our past and a pride upon the fact that we are of pious and modest origins, not a plunge into the guilt that Muslims have been killers all along.

And of all things! What is required foremost is to get rid of the sins inherent in the British-based schooling system, which we blindly accepted as our own; a system that kills the intellect, at every possibility of its birth, in all our school-going children. Our Education ministry needs to research upon the old-Madrassa schooling that produced scholars and practitioners who drove the reins of the subcontinent for centuries. Yes we need to make sensitive, thinking and assertive people for our strong future, but not by cutting away from the roots of Islam, instead only by removing the weeds of false ideology and west-worship, that we have let to accumulate as parasite around our fruits.

Love his show, amazing guy

there is a reasonable size of Jamat-e-Islami people on net, somehow they have learned to use net and to communicate in English.

they are running this campaign from many days against Shehzad Roy's program, this article above is one of the attempts to malign his program and effort..

their aim is ofcourse a jahil Pakistan so that they can play their games...

remember their previous campaign was against Malala Yousafzai.
