LOL... Yeah right...
That is more like the birth of civilisation in South Asia, not the world. Perhaps the producer should have bothered to also highlight the fact that the "birth of civilisation is debatable at best and not tied down to one particular region in the world"
BBC - History - The Lost Palaces of Iraq
Babylon: Mesopotamia and the Birth of Civilization: Amazon.co.uk: Paul Kriwaczek: Books
Its says 8000 years old... but the thread is of a 10000 year old metropolis
According to Indian mathematics 10000 is greater than 8000 (>).. Im not sure about the maths u studied though.
some facts have always pinched...Hinduism and many others have this flood concept....and one fact that has touched me alone..Hinduism says that in ancient times Humans lived with Rakchas(Demons) and Vanaras(Monkeys intelligent enough)...now according to this report Indian Civilization could be 11,000yrs old...the time when Homo neanderthal and other species of may have lived....may be Vanaras and Rakhchas were these species only!!!!!
LOL... No offence but please educate yourself on the subject:
Chapter 1 Learning Objectives - The Birth of Civilization
As i stated earlier this may be the birth of civilisation in the sub continent, but not the world... Older and more historic sites have laid claim to that.

I was replying to ur post..
Newer and newer things are being discovered each and now and we update as needed. Indeed the video tells us about a "metropolis" which was discovered.
An earlier civilization must have graduated into a city as its a logical reason. So lets wait and see what archeologists come up with on this issue.
Im not debating as to which came first or which came later. But these things are wonderfully fascinating and its not countries pride which we choose to believe but the knowledge about the civilization itself which creates interest.
I wonder what would have been ur reply if Dwaraka was actually in Pakistan.
Any ways lets get on with thread without "i know more' and "yours is bad" arguments
Firstly, I am a lay student of history and don't give two Sh**s about where the find was discovered, i care for the facts. Furthermore I hate this, "what if it was in Pak v.s India (Epenis)" card people pull...
Just because i have a Pakistani flag does not make me a senseless, blind and ignorant bigot... Give us a little credit will you.
have yous studied from an anti hindu pro arabic Pakistani university...then its AOK!!
