BTW here is an invitation of an event abt art n culture abt to start in pakistan too....And yr welcome to participate. Its called ''Draw Holocaust contest''
This would enhance Imran Khan’s popularity across the muslim world. However, In my opinion this decision from the Dutch authorities has more to do with the 26 year old arrested Pakistani citizen that travelled from France to Netherlands with an ill intent. PTI will take credit which they deserve nonetheless for pursuing this cause.
Dutch anti-Islam lawmaker Geert Wilders says he has canceled a planned Prophet Muhammad cartoon contest following death threats and concerns other people could be put at risk.
Wilders, who has for years lived under round-the-clock protection because of death threats sparked by his fierce anti-Islam rhetoric, said he does not want others endangered by the contest he planned for November.
The contest was to have been held at the tightly guarded offices of his Party for Freedom in the Dutch parliament building.
It was the subject of protests in Pakistan on Wednesday.
He will do it again, and this little stunt helped by our response will garner more followers for him, and in his place someone else will try to do this again, probably successfully.
Great respect for this lady.Everyday I read Quran, I realize how blessed I am to be a Muslim.Prophet Muhammad(P.B.U.H) was chosen as a messenger by Allah(SWT) and was sent to his own people that were worse in character. They used to bury girls alive; they used to shed blood and were racist.
1400 years ago, Prophet Muhammad(SAW) began to preach Islam. What was he teaching? He was promoting about rights of a women, their share in wealth which was impossible to even imagine in bewildered society like that of Arabs. He spoke about rights of animals. He promoted and spoke of rewards for freeing slaves. He was known as Al-Saadiq and Al-Ameen and he brought light of Allah(SWT) which is Quran. He taught us that no one is superior over other. He rejected racism and brought piousness as a criterion of superiority. His youngest wife Bibi Ayesha Siddiqa always reported about his kindness even after his death. He was loving father and caring husband. Those who are ignorant of Islam do not see the reason that billions of people send salutations to him everday(during prayer) and every Friday. He left us 1400 years ago but he is still with us today and we feel him with us.
I have immense respect for this lady and every human being whether a believer or not trying to make a difference. There is no religion on earth that promotes violence. It is always our own bigotry and ignorace. It is our reflection that is ugly and we must correct ourselves before pointing fingers towards other people.
Regards
Stop being so defensive and self pitying... what point has he made? that if he hits a most sensitive issue for 1.6 billion people, some in few tens, less brighter ones may threaten of violence? That proves nothing. If we can't put this point across then there is something really wrong with our way of thinking.
It will happen at a lower frequency than it would if we simply ignored it. Mocking Islam is well known to be a bad idea, if this were not the case the haqq would be attacked even more just like Christianity or other religions.
