Due to multiple QC and especially safety related accidents, which leads to many injuries and several fatality, Tesla's sales number in China take a 180 degree nosedive in April.

They could only manage to sell about 11,000 units in April, down 67.2% comparing to the number in March, much weaker than market average.

Due to poor quality control and misleading autopilot hype, Tesla's future in China, which is the world dominating EV market, looks very bleak in the future.

Musk should stick to promote bullshit coins instead of making death traps.

Market average? What is the price of a Mini EV the top selling EV in China? 4,000 $?
Lets see
#1 Mini EV 26592 units sold ..
#2 Tesla Model 3 6264 units sold.

Duh! Also your source makes no mention of quality control and deaths. Are you making things up?

What we are talking about is the April sales number announced by China's automobile industry committee, in April, Tesla only manage to sell 11,000 units.

As for the fatality accidents, there are plenty of media coverage in China about Tesla death trap's recent accidents, it is a well known fact among anyone who can read Chinese, so stop wasting my time, indian.

I'm not Indian.
But it seems to be the 'go to' riposte around here when caught with pants down.
You made a claim and so I asked for a source.

Tesla taking a hit in China. This is not due to politics. China has free market policy to increase competition that ultimately benefits Chinese consumers. This is due to Tesla's design flaw.

Lol.. after losing out on sales number. You start to shift goalpost?

You better talk nice thing about CPC. They can shut off Tesla anytime they like , like H&M

Blame american for not buying EV enough. :enjoy:

Always trust the Chinese PDF'ers to self-own while being clueless...Tesla has the best safety record compared to other car manufactures in the rest of the world. Yet, the OP made up a claim on safety which was not stated anywhere in the article... and claiming accidents to be a top reason among Chinese drivers.

For once we agree, we see you guys driving in the US. it would be best if you had your own 4-lane highway bi-directionally :omghaha:

It's not only happened in China but US. You can continue to self delude yourself. It wouldn't change the fact Tesla safety is questionable. :enjoy:

Do you think a handful of crashes equates to an overall accident issue? ROFL - is that how the Chinese look at data when determining a trend? Hell, we would be recalling every Chinese product if we took corner cases as a trend

BUT as I said, we agree with your assessment of accidents in China, we know how you guys drive in the other parts of the world, LOL

The Tesla Model Y line was shutdown down for 2 weeks in April for upgrades. Had it been opened it would have exceeded January numbers, which is the month you have to compare to due to exports in the first month of each quarter.

May and June deliveries will tell us the real story.
Great to see Tesla sales getting crushed in China. Beautiful sight.

shift goal post? comparing Tesla units sold to Mini EV is the same as comparing the sale of Bugatti Chiron Super Sport with Chevrolet Spark - it is a meaning less metric.

The Bugatti cost 4 million $s and the Spark 14 k $s..

Why not? Nobody cares about how much it cost but how it penetrate the market with it's sales. It is cheap is the only reason then there are some even cheaper EV available in China market but yet it didn't get any sales as much as willing mini EV. Btw, you shall be happy for this mini EV success as GM has partnership with it. :enjoy:

Chinese are the literal best drivers in the US, proven by insurance prices and fatality rates.

Insurance companies put their money where their mouth is at.
